It would be so much easier to believe my childhood was inevitable because no one could have known better and "oh 99% of people are cis so assigned gender is still useful" and every other lie we tell ourselves to feel better. Like it's comforting to think you suffered for a logical reason and not no fucking reason. The truth is all of this is meaningless and hollow and we're torturing each other for nothing and there's no one else behind it, it's just us.
And that's sad because it means it's too late for us but it also means you can stop it
Makes me feel insane and antisocial when I see allies or even trans people gendering their children like can you get the fuck over yourself. The future of humanity is literally in your hands. You could just stop the infinite pain and suffering. We usually can't stop the infinite pain and suffering and we all get really upset about how we can't stop it and then you have control over something for the first time in your life and your response is to dip your toes in the infinite pain and suffering because it's easier
