A Winterâs Visit
tmtheoryâ:
His eyes grow wider, more innocent than ever as Giovanni mentions a vacation. He only has the clothes on his back, his head coming to tilt as he thinks Giovanni needs something on site. He flushes now, not even thinking to pack and knows this will present a problem.Â
âI wasnât aware youâd want to spend time with someone like me on the holidays. I didnât pack a bag so I donât think I should stay too long. P-perhaps a text would have given me time to prepare?â he comes across blunt, but the scientist doesnât mean to at all.Â
âBut we can do something you like before I go??â he tries to compromise with the other, so he doesnât want to disappoint him. Not entirely.Â
Normally Giovanni is clearly frustrated when things donât go his way. Heâs used to getting what he wants when he wants. But in this case, Giovanni was prepared for the worst-case scenario, and has, of course, planned accordingly. âAhh, I suppose I should have thought of that,â he chuckles awkwardly, âwell, thereâs no helping it, I guess. When youâre ready to go back, just say the word.â He checks his watch. âIt gets difficult to leave at night, though, if that helps you plan--â he makes sure to speak up enough for his executive to hear him from the front door â--and with the powerful pokemon in the issue, avalanches can be a problem, so I wonât hold you up for too long.â
He pauses for a moment, then smiles. âWould you like to help me pick the tree for the cabin? A quick stroll around the lake, weâll bring something warm to drink, take one back if we can, how does that sound?â It was bound to only take a couple of hours, and really, that was all he needed. For, er, the spirit of Christmas. Or something. Yeah, that was it.
