     The kiss was soft and it seemed to end as soon as it began. It was... her very first kiss. Not one of love or any other kind of emotion, but one that helped seal their vows as husband and wife. Strange to think she was married to a complete and utter stranger. One she had met literally the day before only to be wed the next day. Sure she knew it had been bound to happen one day due to her status of her birth, but this really wasn't how she thought it would happen. 

    As they walked back down from the alter flower petals seems to catch in her hair. Sticking to black silk strands as they were ushered to the banquet hall and soon to their seats. Sitting down beside him quietly with a glass of wine being shoved into her hand. Normally she would be more than happy to scuff at the notion of sitting pretty silently yet when your life is on the line it’s a bit less of a laughing matter. She wasn’t safe here. Despite being married to the PHEONIX KING’S son. 

     Speaking of, the king began to decent towards the pair causing the room fall painfully silent as their guests watched as OZAI approached the newly weds.

    ❝ It seems all is going according to plan. My congratulations, I am sure the entire nations eyes will be on you two. ❞

     But there was nothing kind in his voice. Her shoulders straightening as her hold on the glass tightened. The man who had stolen the lives of countless earth nation citizens standing before her. One who would have been far too happy to snuff out her own life if this little arrangement hadn’t been made.

       It’s far too cold for her liking. The chilled air that filled the haul of the ship seemed to soak into her bones. Even while huddled in warmer clothing the earth bender still felt the steady chilling nip at her nose and lips. 

     Of all places for her parents to try and find her a husband they just had to pick one of the coldest locations. It was odd really that they went to this length to the even do so. Perhaps that was also because of the lack of suitors in her home nation. Both due to her disability as well as the war that creeped ever so close to their door step. The fire nation was taking more land by the day. Villages lost over night, it made some sense to try and find her a husband in a place further away. A last resort to protect their ‘ever so fragile’ blind daughter. Even at the age of nineteen they still viewed her as some kind of fragile flower than could only do so much on her own. 

   Scuffing at the idea before she blew a few thick black stands of hair out of her face. This entire thing was humiliating, even if she knew it was going to happen at some point. 

    Footsteps echoes down the hall, vibrations echoing from the metal of the finely decorated ship. One figure and voice she recognized as her father the other she assumed was the poor bastard that got roped into this. 

       Not too long after the door slid open came the steady steps of somebody approaching the paper screen that separated the pair. Her parent’s brilliant of an idea for her suitor to ‘get to know her’ without running. 

                                       ❝ So, you must be SOKKA, right?  ❞

      Head canting towards the screen after a second of silence. 

                                 ❝  I’m TOPH, but you probably already knew that.  ❞

      I WILL still write Toph AFTER the war between the ages of 13-15 but it’s upon request. Since I know not EVERYONE will have a verse / will want to rp within the main verse I have set for her now. That’s really the only time I will use icons for now. I’m in the process of drawing and making my own adult toph icons.
