Why is obsidian so useful for tools?

The ancient inhabitants of many continents knew the properties of obsidian. This black volcanic glass was a key component in tools and hunting weapons; arrowheads and shards from their production are found all over the world and trading paths between different civilizations can even be tracked using obsidian.

Earthing to me isn’t just about our deep connection with Earth and nature. It's about reality. Living in reality. Having experiences in real time.

These days most would rather experience life and I do mean their entire life on facebook, playing video games or creating an alternative existence on social media bonding with people that we never see, likes that aren’t really umm real and collecting friends that we couldn’t even pick out of a crowd on the street. The vast disconnect between reality and this World we’ve created to live in is not only depressive, it is destructive. Most people don’t know how to socialize anymore and when they do get into social situations, they’re constantly checking their phone.

We’ve created this alternative reality- the internet, much like alternative facts

it there, it's amusing at points but at the end of the day it’s all not even true, real or what really matters..

I know its cliche` but Life is too short- we all should realize this above anything.

There is a great big beautiful existence..real existence out there friends. Real experiences with people that you really can meet and have real friendships with.
