Trapped in the Kitchen - Chapter 1

7'o clock in the evening and she's on her way home

I'm not sure how long

but I can track her on the phone

Now I might seem a little bit shady

But I ain't cheatin on my lady

Though there is just something I don't want her to know

If I tell you this, you gon keep it on the down low?

Well this all started one day when she was in the kitchen

Not sure what she was up to but I know it was something bitchin'

She was whippin up a storm

This definitely ain't no norm

Now I could here the mixer turning

And my stomach started yearning

What could my baby be making?

Not sure but I was salivating

Suddenly the oven timer rings

Keep wondering 'what's those things?'

Then my baby yells 'come and get it!'

I push through the kitchen door to come get it

That smell was so delectable

But what I was about to find was so unexpectable

What I'm bout to tell you

Is just too damn hard to believe

Inside the oven were a dozen

Savoury muffins

Muffins...

The thing I'm hiding from my shorty

Well those savoury muffins were just too damn good

After slowly letting friends and family know back home, I'm happy to make the official announcement that Paul and I are ENGAGED! :D

Paul arrived a couple weeks ago in London and the other week, we headed off to Croatia. We had an an amazing time in Dubrovnik (where I might have been somewhat obsessed with tracking down Game of Thrones film locations). Then after, we headed up to Split. After a lovely evening and a walk on the promenade, we were sitting on a bench, enjoying the party atmosphere, listening to everything from Tom Jones' "Sex Bomb" to MJ's "Black and White". Despite my whining to head home early to get some rest, Paul insisted we stay a bit longer to enjoy the moment. Before I knew it, he was on one knee and pulling out a ring from his pocket. I was completely surprised! Needless to say, I said 'yes'.

Though I've avoided making the Facebook status change (and all the wedding ads and spam that come along with), I'm happy to finally share the news and only wish I could celebrate at home with friends and family.

Now I know many of you may be wondering, "What about your UK house husband? What will happen to 2BF?"...Well, 2BF still has plenty of adventures left before this lady gets hitched! ;)
