preserving this video at all costs to teach future generations what twitter was like
EDIT: About a billion people asked me where they can buy the soundtrack to this. I love you guys + I'm so glad you like my silly music. Working on a bandcamp ep with bonus stuff ASAP

āThis is the thing about ecology: everything is interconnected. Itās difficult for us to grasp how this works, because weāre used to thinking of the world in terms of individual parts rather than complex wholes. In fact, thatās even how weāve been taught to think of ourselves ā as individuals. Weāve forgotten how to pay attention to the relationships between things. Insects necessary for pollination; birds that control crop pests, grubs and worms essential to soil fertility; mangroves that purify water; the corals on which fish populations depend: these living systems are not āout thereā, disconnected from humanity. On the contrary: our fates are intertwined. They are, in a real sense, us.ā

Elongated Muskrat, what does this mean? He acts like telling Hank Green to Google something is an epic own, but, like? What is he getting at? Telling Hank Green, famous science-guy personality, to ādo his own researchā like Elon apparently does?
Twitter becoming a funnier, more chaotic site than Tumblr was not on my 2022 bingo card but here we are.
Itās a hellscape over there

Solar power, electric cars, grid-scale batteries, heat pumpsāthe world is crossing into a mass-adoption moment for green technologies
āIt all starts with the transition to clean energy, now approaching full speed with 87 countries drawing at least 5% of their electricity from wind and solar. The US hit 5% in 2011 and surged past 20% renewable electricity last year. If the country follows the trend set by others at the leading edge, wind and solar will account for half of US power-generating capacity just 10 years from now. That would be yearsāor even decadesāearlier than major forecasts.
[ā¦] Successful technologies follow an S-shaped adoption curve. Sales move at a crawl in the early-adopter phase, then surprisingly quickly once things go mainstream. The top of the curve represents the last people to make the transition. Even in 2022, a tenth of humanity still doesnāt have electricity.
Five percent isnāt a universal tipping point. Some technologies flip sooner, others later, but the basic idea is the same: Once the tough investments in manufacturing have been made and consumer preferences start to shift, the first wave of adoption sets the conditions to go much bigger.ā
