“Russian Blue” potato blossoms have a delicate blue hue 🦋 hopefully I’ll be pulling these out of the garden soon (I planted them 7 weeks ago). 🌱 I’m looking forward trying this variety. Songbird Pink kale makes my heart (and tastebuds) sing 🍃🎶✨🐦 one of, if not the ONLY, kale variety I’ve ever grown that doesn’t get bitter as it ages. Lil chilly this morning (it’s sunny out but quite windy)... so a warm breakfast was in order! 🍃 Rolled oats, chia seeds, & ripe banana cooked in hemp seed mylk sweetened w/ dates & vanilla extract. Heated some frozen blueberries and drizzled them on top. Wild Nootka Rose 🍃🌸 I love this time of year, so many flowers blossoming 🥰🌷 Nootka Rose is one of the most beautiful wild flowers that is native to this part of the world. Refuelling after a mtn bike ride w/ a nutritious smoothie bowl! 🍃🍌😛 Perfect for a hot day like today! ☀️ it’s already 24°C (75°F) and only 10am! ✨ Recipe as follows: add 4 frozen bananas broken apart into thirds or quarters to food processor (or high speed blender); then add 1 cup frozen raspberries and pulse/mix or blend until smooth. I grew foxgloves 🦊 from seed this year, for the first time ever. 🍃 They abundantly grow wild where I live, so I never felt the need to sow my own in the past, but through @floretflower I discovered a soft peach coloured variety I had never seen before, so of course I had to order some seed. Beautiful magenta hued lupines from the field 🌿 thank you spring! 🌞 Lupines make for lovely bouquets, so I like to pick a few bunches of them this time every year for my house. 🌸 Bouquet tip: 3, 5, 8, & 15 are the “magic” numbers when it comes to the number of stems to put in a vase. The most beautiful kale variety I grow: songbird pink 🌿✨ Usually sold as an ornamental kale, I don’t use it as such, I sow this seed exclusively to eat it. 💗 And it’s definitely a contender for my top 3 fave variety’s of kale, so if you have a chance to purchase some seeds for this tasty, beautiful, and excellent producer... go for it!
