We aren’t talking enough about Nebula!! 

Nebula was raised to be a killer and was so desperate for love she remained loyal to a father who abused her. Even after finally breaking free of that engrained loyalty, she still wasn’t sure how to be anything but angry and a killer. She didn’t know how to change after so long, so she just switched targets. She couldn’t understand her sister’s desire to go around helping people because she was so trained to kill. All she wanted to do was kill Thanos and in the end she couldn’t and lost her sister in the process.

But after he was dead, Nebula clearly followed in her sister’s footsteps. She found a team. She spent the five years after her father’s death working to help the people left behind. She learned how to help people by helping restore things and rebuild, rather than just being a killer. (And how much did she and Natasha bond over that? Over the struggle of unlearning what you’d been made into? Over learning how to focus on helping people instead?)

She became friends with Tony - enough so that she made sure he had the last rations on the ship because he needed it. She became friend with Rhodey. She became friends with Rocket. We didn’t see it, but she spent five years working with Natasha and Okoye and Carol and must have become close with them too.

After Thanos was dead - the one mission that Nebula had for years - she found a new purpose in stopping new threats and saving people for FIVE YEARS. And when there was a chance to fix what Thanos had done and bring everyone back - even when there was no guarantee it would bring Gamora back - Nebula was right there alongside everyone else risking her life to save the day.

Nebula insisted to the terrified past version of herself that she could change because she had and she knew there was so much better waiting for her.
