I am unapologetically pro black meaning you're not gonna like what I have to say but I'm gonna say it. My beliefs are this-

- The black man is caught in between the struggle of colonizers and oppressors.

-Politically speaking black people should not side with Democrats or Republicans due to the fact neither side truly cares about our struggles and both sides benefit off of the oppression of black people. They call out racism on the other side and not their own because they only care about looking more appealing not because they think racism is wrong.

-We have no allies besides the ones who make themselves known and speak out for us.

-There is no black and brown coalition because brown hates black.

-Black people have played parts in how we are perceived and the state of the community this however does not mean that we were not oppressed or that discrimination towards is imaginary or justified.

-BLM was overran by white liberals and none of the money was given to the black community because blm is an antifa shell orginazation that was the face to pin orchestrated violence on the black community.

-I believe reparations should be given to the black diaspora by those who oppressed them. This does not mean. A monetary sum this means a restorative initiative where they help those they oppressed be able to catch up unfettered or impeded like in black wall street and other incidents.

This is “Mother Mary”, the owner of Blackberry’s mother.

She made all the cakes for the restaurant while it was open. Chef Gordon Ramsay tried her red velvet cake, and spoke this meme-able line:

He then called Mary over, complimented her food, and gave her a peck on the cheek.

anyways, I hope she has been able to continue her love for baking since the restaurant closed down.

seeing what you said about headcanoning Kiyotaka's parents to be divorced, what kind of relationship do you see him having with his mother?

Taka's mother was coddled and primed by her family for the sole goal of entering an influential, comfortable marriage, and was left woefully unequipped for the hideous reality she found herself in. She's far from heartless but trapped in this trainwreck of a scandal- given the option of escape or ostracisation, she took what she saw as her only lifeline. Once she was sent abroad and away from the influence of her family, she does end up marrying for love and eventually summons the courage write to Taka in an attempt to reconnect, and to atone.

Taka does feel conflicted, but since his father doesn't seem to begrudge her (outwardly at least) Taka is inclined to do much the same. He writes back to his mother diligently but (at least initially) out of obligation. The distance caused by the years and miles apart is just a little too far to bridge. Like an Aunt you can't quite picture the face of, who always kindly sends a birthday present every year, but she clearly can't remember how old you are, as the gift is far too childish for you.

Hmmm. . . with as inflexible as Taka is, I don't think he'd just straight out call Hiroko 'mum' even if her and Takaaki were to marry. I can see him adding it to her name like a title or an honorific: "Mother Hiroko" or "Hiroko-Okaasan". Hiroko might not appreciate how old 'Mother Hiroko' makes her sound, but she can't bring herself to correct him.

It'd be awkward to say the least (Taka's never said his mother was dead, but the way he acts around the topic has made most of the class assume that she is) Taka gets his tactile nature and over the top emotional and dramatic tendencies from her, as well as his volume.

Taka has no memories of his maternal grandparents, and in-fact doesn't even know his mother's maiden name. Funny Byakuya should be mentioned, because he knows who they are, and will happily use this information to his advantage.

While Taka's maternal family are also old money business royalty, they aren't as overtly caustic as the Togamis - Taka's mother did grow up feeling loved. It was only when the scandal hit and her family issued the ultimatum of essentially 'choose us or the fire' did she begin to realise that their love of her was contingent on her usefulness to the family name. Her father disowning Taka, a completely innocent child, was ultimately what started her on the path to eventually cut ties with her family herself, though by then the damage had already been done.

This was such a lovely, charming little piece! I really enjoyed Hiro and Taka’s back and forth; with them having an inherent disconnect from their very different personalities but sharing such a endearing bonding moment! Plus it was so sweet seeing Taka warming up to his estranged mother with Takaaki essentially wiping the slate clean, rather than nuture the past hurt, in light of seeing them both together again. :-D I very definitely did enjoy!

More fun with the Tall Cop Dad, but with added sass this time. Some of the only things canonically listed about Takaaki via his hit list target profile are 1) has a REAL GUN and 2) is ticklish.  Ticklish enough that it is a legitimate strategy to incapacitate him. Apparently.

I have to admit, I like the idea of Taka and his dad havin’ a really tight relationship, comfortable enough to be happily affectionate, if only cos these kids have such a bad time of it. (and there are too many hands off dads in media - gimme some involved lovin’ dad content)

no memes this time (unless you count the entire comic) but have a quick illustration: Alternate timeline high school graduation Hiroko and Takaaki. Close childhood friends- to going separate paths during their difficult twenties- to becoming confidants and closer than ever now that they’re suprise single parents in their thirties.

(there’s an old(?) tradition of gifting the 2nd button of your uniform to your ‘most beloved person’ at graduation)
