Ebony looked at the golden eyed boy and smiled. “You have a nice name. I like it!“ She giggled before remembering about her ill mother. “Hey, Alibaba… Will you come with me to see my mother? I would like you to meet her. She’s a really nice lady and I think it would make her feel happy to see that I finally made my very first friend. Would that be okay with you?” She looked up at him in a pleading manor with her hazel eyes.

The little boy tilted his head curiously at her proposal. Not that he would mind but was it really ok for him to come unnounced to her place? Aside that may probably worry his friends whom were playing with before spotting Ebony in trouble and rushed to her rescue by disappearing like that.

“ Its not like I’m not ok with it. But is it really alright for me to come to your place unnounced? I would still be intruding you and your mother’s house. “

Ebony looked down with a sad expression. “I guess you are right, but...” She looked up at him teary eyed once more before bowing to him. “I hate to ask this of you but will you at least escort me home so I’m not caught by any more bullies please? I-I’m really scared about returning home all by myself. You never know if that bully from today might come back so... Will you please help me with that?”

The enraged teen glared at Alibaba and crossed his arms in front of his chest. “I do what I want and if you don’t like it then too bad. You know as well as I do kid. If you live in the slums then you do what you can to survive. If someone has something that you want and they’re weak, you take it from them. Whether they be children of the elderly… It’s the instinct to survive that pushes us to do things that are bad. We were born sinners of the slums, all in all we’ll die as sinners too.” With those depressing words stinging him on the inside he turned away from him. “Stupid brat…“ He then walked away from Alibaba and Ebony who was hiding. As soon as the teen was gone and out of sight, Ebony peeked her head out of her hiding place and looked at Alibaba with tears in her eyes. She hesitantly walked out of hiding and over to Alibaba. “E-Excuse me. Thank you so much for saving me.“ She sniffled and wiped her eyes. “My name is Ebony… What’s your name?” She smiled shyly and held out a banana to him. “H-Here, you can have this as a thank you for saving me. I-If you hadn’t shown up I would have been in a lot of trouble.”

That elder kid sounded like Kassim just now, he mused while still with twig in his hands in case he would fight back. But instead left with just a speech which made Alibaba sigh in relief before throwing the thing away.

“ Bullies are just big meanies and always around. I’m the more glad I was around to help. “ The youth giggled and just as he was about to introduce himself she had offered him the fruit as form of gratitude. “ Thanks but I don’t need it. You can keep it. I’m sure you and your family needs food most than I do. “

“ Oh, and by the way its Alibaba. My name I mean. Nice meeting you, Ebony! “

The bully looked at Ebony and smirked. “Look at this, a weak little crybaby with some fruit.“ Ebony looked up at him with tears rolling down her cheeks. As he pulled her hair harder, making her cry more, he soon felt the sharp smack of the twig against his face. He immediately let go of her hair and Ebony ran into a place to hide with the fruit. “What the hell!?!“ He stated in a fit of rage. He looked at Alibaba and glared at him. “What the hell is your problem kid?”

Alibaba soon backed off, leaving some space between himself and the bully in case he’d throw a raging fit. He was throwing a fit, and seemed enraged but not like the kind he ran into once with Kassim - and defeated for that.

Only neither intimidated the youth for he were not only stubborn but a tiny individual with strong sense of justice; in a more play the hero part than anything. “ Its people like you I have a problem with! You can’t just attack or hurt a defenseless girl! “

The small girl looked outside her makeshift home that her mother had built. Today Ebony's mother came down with a slight cold. Since Ebony was feeling stronger today she told her mother that she would get the food for her. She disagreed at first but before she could sit up, Ebony bolted out the door. As she was walking back with her arms full of fruit, she was soon being bullied by an older kid of the slums that appeared 16. He called her weak and pulled her hair. "Ow! That hurts!! Help!"

Fights or discrimination was common within the slums. From adults to young teenagers following in their footsteps whether stealing or pick fights or just bully the weak for whatever reason. He’s aware of such even though so young and had run into if not experienced such himself. Only fortunately he had someone to help him out then bestow judgement ass kicking together.

“ Hey! Leave her alone! “ Albeit alone he was certain can fight by himself and help the poor girl in need. He happened to run in such scene whilst running to hide, along with flag, from Kassim as they were playing. And speaking of which if he couldn’t do it by himself the others would of eventually catch up and join in soon enough.

Setting the flag aside, he scram forward after grabbing a twig and swung in the bully’s way with his all.

Ebony was asleep under the window In Sharkan's room, when she suddenly woke up feeling something on her arm. When she looked down to see a snake coiled around her arm, she screamed at the top of her lungs. As she flailed her arm trying to shake the snake off her arm, the creature hissed in displeasure and pit her. As it removed it's fangs, the snake uncoiled and slithered out the window.

Sharrkan blinked, thin eyebrow raising as he entered his chambers as stared at the other person. Well, as confusing and startling as it was, he should at least ask what was going on. Or at the very least why someone was in his room.

“Hey,” He calls out calmly, approaching her. “What’s going on in here, are you OK?”

She looked around and started to freak out that she was small. When she looked up to see Sharkan’s expression and hearing his question, she froze in fear. Maybe she could get away with blaming Yamuraiha. She gulped and nodded. “I-I’m sorry Sharkan! Could you please pick me up so I don’t have to shout?!? That and I’m afraid the snake will come back and eat me now that I’m the size of my first doll!”

“She’ll be back, but much later.” Of course, that was his snake after all. This was a bit awkward, what was he supposed to do, how was supposed to go about this? He reached down and scooped her up, transferring her to his desk and taking a seat.

“So, then..how did you get in here?”

She looked down slightly afraid. Ebony frowned for she couldn’t lie to her friend. It didn’t feel right to her. “I-I used my power to sneak in through the window... I’m really sorry Sharkan! I-I promise I won’t do it again...”

9. A weapon

“I got if for Kouha.” The Magi sighed softly and went to his bag, pulling out the slim dagger and let it dance in his hands. “He likes the small knives. I don’t blame him really. But he has his sword, so you think he would be good.” He pouted.

“O-Oh! Please do be careful with that. You don’t want to cut yourself.” She looked up at him playing with the knife. “I-I’m sure Kouha-sama will like your gift.”

A rumbling laugh burst from his lips. “I wouldn’t let somethung like this wound me. Though, your concern is appreciated.” He smirked over to her, flipping the dagger and catching it with thimb and forefinger on the blade.

Ebony looked at Judal nervously. When he smirked at her, she blushed a bright red color. She quickly looked down and frowned embarrassed. “I-I see... Well please be careful.”

When I woke up, a snake had bitten me and escaped out the window-” Her body started to pulsate and she winced in pain. Steam started to emit around her and she suddenly shrunk in size. Her height was as big as Shakan’s hand. When the pain went away she noticed that Sharkan was a giant. “Sharkan! You’re a Giant!” She shouted.

“..Who’s permission did you get to enter my room?” He asked blandly, watching as she seemed to..deflate right in front of him. This was going to be a strange day for sure, how was he going to explain this to everyone?

“I’ve not gotten any bigger, you know. You just..shrunk. You’re lucky that snake wasn’t poisonous.”

Just like that he lies down himself and falls asleep rather quickly. Today was tiring for him. He had only invited her so he wouldn’t be all alone like usually..

“Goodnight Kouha-sama.” Ebony lies down and cuddles into him before falling fast asleep.

Ebony crawled into bed and cuddled next to him. “I-I am really grateful for you and your kindness Kouha-sama… Thank you.”

{ ♔ } Smoothly he tugged her in and casually lies next to her, obviously not ready to sleep yet as he seems to be fully awake. The truth is that it is different however, he needs to make sure that she wouldn’t feel worried anymore.

‘’So, are you happy now?’’

She smiled and nodded, not feeling worried anymore. “Yes. I am so happy thanks to you. Thank you.”

Ebony slowly took his hand and calmed down a little. “A-Alright. I-I suppose there’s nothing wrong with sleeping with you Kouha-sama.” She smiled and hesitantly hugged him.

{ ♔ } ‘’Of course not, everything will be okay. There’s even the possibility that no one will figure out. And my servants will keep their mouths shut.’’

Gently he lead her towards the bed, waiting for her to get up there so he could put the blankets on her.

He shrugged at once, not understanding what she was getting embarrassed about. Now she did indeed come he wasn’t planning to stray from his plan. And so he offered his hand to her.

Ebony slowly took his hand and calmed down a little. “A-Alright. I-I suppose there’s nothing wrong with sleeping with you Kouha-sama.” She smiled and hesitantly hugged him.
