I do not like that the Inklings are shaped like birds. Both the art for the Orzhov Ral Zarek and the new Killian have their Inklings shaped like birds. I want the inkblot creatures back.

this was the fault of editing. this was actually a call back to an earlier line in the movie, but then the earlier scene got cut so now we have a punchline without a set up and it sounds dumb.
