Eros

when I was in school i had an assignment to create fake screen captures for a television pitch for my own cartoon. My cartoon would have utilized a lot of different artistic mediums and techniques. This particular character, Eros (based off the god of love from Greek mythos) and his garden were to be done in clay, in contrast to the protagonists who were animated with cel.

I don’t know if I have posted those screencaps here, but this is a portrait of the character I made just recently.

Grubby Walk

my character, Grubby (placeholder name), was inspired by species of caterpillars that protect themselves by having markings on them that mimic a snake. I have always been in love with the insect world and find its various shapes and patterns to be an infinite source of inspiration for character design. As a kid I dreamed of having a dragon companion I could take everywhere with me. I also really wanted a cat. so Grubby is both.
