Personal opinions on Kuro ahead (spoilers, I'm complaining about the pacing):
Honestly the way that Kuro has been barely progressing lately (talking about the last few years in total but especially at the moment) ... it's been really testing my patience and interest in the manga and writing fanfiction. There is nothing for me to chew on, nothing that really catches my interest. Which is wild bc I've always been interested in the overarching mystery and intrigue of the story, and seeing that we're supposedly on the tracks approaching the story's climax, I should be invested in the current arc and whatever comes next. But I am not.
Even now that Victoria is at the hotel, I couldn't care less. If my all-time fave Undertaker were to appear during the next chapter, I'd still struggle to care. And that's really saying something.
I'm sure it's all building up to something and Yana is cooking, yes, but the awful pace of it all has been killing the momentum thoroughly and the chapters barely convey any plot nor do they give the characters time to do much of anything. I understand the plot relevance and the necessity of building up tension and mystery, I do NOT understand how those pacing decisions would benefit the story. Especially now, to me personally, they feel detrimental to Ciel and Sebastian's mission.
Yes, Yana might be busy with other projects, but a prolonged hiatus might have been more beneficial than whatever is happening with the manga atm.
Maybe waiting a few months or more to read a bunch of chapters all at once will improve my issues with the pacing.
