Ep. 7 Thoughts

* Rhaenyra is clearly becoming paranoid. I didn’t like her with Haelena

* Another disgusting scene with Aemond and Alicent. I’m so tired of it, I don’t even want to talk about it.

* I was right about that love triangle involving Baela and her uncles.

* Daeron is definitely my favorite character. I’m so sorry he’s stuck with that freak Ormund.

* Mysaria is so jealous of Daemon. She really wants her cookie. 😭

* I like the extra depth they gave her character, especially the complexity between the common-born and the royals.

* Poor Manderly. He’s becoming Rhaenyra’s scapegoat, and if it plays out like it does in the book, it’s going to end very badly for him.

* Alys also clearly wants to get pregnant so she can use this son with Aemond for her own purposes.

* Alicent… I have to admit, I was shocked that she poisoned her own son like that.

* Aegon hasn’t completely lost his balls. I actually liked his character development because it feels like it’s leading him closer to his book version.

* The scene with Sunfyre… I have no words. It reminded me of what’s coming. Sorry Rhaenyra…

* Sheepstealer… oh my God, I’m genuinely sad. I hate this plot. Why give Rhaena a dragon only to take it away from her like this?I hate seeing dragons suffer.

* Daemon and Rhaenyra’s relationship is also really interesting, especially the fact that they’re both torn between their children.

* My favorite part was Helaena visions. Her death is going to be heartbreaking.

* Dreamfyre… oh my God, my girl. 💔

* Corlys, I’m sorry about your finger.

One of the biggest problems with HOTD writing, and with any story, really : is the lack of attention to detail and the butterfly effect: the idea that every little thing exists for a reason. It’s something GRR Martin himself criticized when he talked about the removal of Maelor. When you think about it, you realize how many of the show shit plots could have been avoided.

That sense of cohesion is completely gone. Sometimes they have good ideas, but they never follow through with them. Take Helaena as a dreamer, for example, there’s barely any character development. And what about Rhaenyra sons, Aegon and Viserys? Where are they??? AEGON IS SUPPOSED TO BECOME KING and without Viserys ,NO DANY

So many small but important details that helped hold the story together have been erased, only to be replaced by unnecessary scenes.

Ep. 6 THOUGHTS!!

* I didn’t like Cole’s death: it felt way too rushed. But Fabien is finally free. We love you, Fabien. ❤️

* Revealing Helaena’s pregnancy is going to end so badly, and I think Mysaria is going to play a role in Helaena’s fate.

* The Alys and Aemond relationship honestly grosses me out a bit. She’s clearly manipulating him. I don’t blame her because Aemond isn’t exactly innocent either,the girl originally just wanted a castle. But with Aemond, I wonder how much her plans have changed now. And let’s not forget that she knows he’s going to die (and she also saw Daemon die in that very same place).

* Rhaena is such a bad written character, and I genuinely have no idea what direction they’re trying to take her in. If they do have one, they’re handling it badly. Nettles deserved her place in this show , and Rhaena deserved her beautiful pink dragon.

* Daemon is such a hardcore Targaryen supremacist. I don’t like how he keep bringing up the prophecy. I thought his vision of Dany would humble him, but instead he somehow became even worse.

* Hugh and Ulf future betrayal is so obvious. Even if they didn’t have much choice, Rhaenyra and Daemon should have seen it coming, especially since they gave them dragons. I actually like this part of the story and how they’re setting it up for the future.

* Baela, you deserve so much better. I CAN’T STAND Alyn. And yes, he cheated on her with her own niece. I’m honestly glad he disappeared at sea. Yes, I’m a hater. Especially since we didn’t even get a single kiss between her and Jace.

* Daeron, my baby!! ❤️

* Gwayne, I’ll admit I didn’t like you at first, but I appreciate you a lot more this season. I love that he saved Daeron. But in the end, if he keeps following Ormund, it’s going to end badly for him too. He should have accepted the offer to go back to Oldtown.

* I have a feeling they’re going to cut the entire Shepherd storyline and instead put everything on Ormund, making it seem like the goal is to put Daeron on the throne, when that’s not what happens at all.

I might be wrong, with the scene of Rhaenyra and the smallfolk, and Daemon disguised as a Gold Cloak beating Ulf, Rhaenyra image is really starting to take a major bad hit.

Aegon,Essos really!!😐: I think he´s going change his mind for dragonstone cuz we know he’s dragon is not dead!!

I don’t think they are just spies for the Greens, but rather that Daeron is only an excuse to hide their true intentions.

I really hope the Shepherd is behind this, because the Storming of the Dragonpit and the fall of King’s Landing are not about defending a ruler, but about a general rebellion against the royal court. A consequence of the Targaryens abuse of power

Ormund talks about dragons as an abomination used by the Targaryens. He has a very negative view of the Targaryens (and you can’t entirely blame him, because dragons are dangerous weapons). I’m worried the show’s writers will make Ormund the mastermind behind the rebellion against Rhaenyra and suggest that everything happened because of his manipulation. But that’s not the case.

Aegon or Rhaenyra: it doesn’t matter. They are both responsible for a civil war that caused a lot of loss and suffering for the smallfolk, who will therefore attack the dragons as an act of revenge.

!!SPOILERS!!

Did you guys notice that we got a lot of foreshadowing for several characters deaths in Episode 5?

* Aemond: He reflects on Helaena’s prophecy while he’s at Harrenhal, near the Gods Eye, where he’ll eventually die. Alys is clearly manipulating him, especially since she already foresaw Daemon death at that same location in Season 2.

* Aegon: His conversation with Larys is very significant for his character development: “Terrible king, terrible man.” It also foreshadows his end at the hands of his own allies, who will betray him because of his decision to continue the war against the Blacks much larger army. The people who poison him are Corlys and Larys himself.

* Daemon: It’s much more little , but Rhaenyra talks about sending him to deal with Vhagar and Aemond.

* Criston: At the beginning of the episode, we see the Blacks discussing Cole and his attacks. Rodrick Dustin volunteers to lead his army against him, so there a good chance Criston dies near the end of the season.

* Helaena: She says she wants to see the moon, but Alicent stops her and tells her to look through the window instead.

* Rhaenyra: She talks about her fears and the feeling that something wrong is coming for her . And she’s right, considering her eventual fall at King’s Landing and her death at Dragonstone.
