GRRM was right saying she killed herself for no reason. She was just told Aegon is out there alive and kicking which is the most hopeful news she could get enough to encourage her to hold on for longer with her daughter and her unborn baby. She also knows Aegon will be king again.

I told myself I was staying away from HOTD this year but I keep seeing team green stans complaining about Ryan Condal's team black favoritism. Like where?? Ryan Condal has done so much since season 1 to show the Greens in a better light. Book!Alicent was a grown woman beefing with an 8-10 year old Rhaenyra and then wishing death upon her when Rhaenyra was pregnant. The Alicent you know and love from the show is NOT the same Alicent from the book and you can thank Ryan Condal for those changes.

it is really funny to me how the entirety of the HOTD writers room and some of the cast is like “this is rhaenyra going full fascist” and it’s like. she’s an absolute monarch. they live in a monarchy. the absolute monarchy is already the fascism 😭 she is a monarch who is ordained by the gods (or not) to do whatever it is she wants and the consequences are up go whatever the smallfolk can do, i guess. like. that’s already the allegory you’re reaching so hard to make. you didn’t have to have rhaenyra targaryen cosplay mussolini to get it across
