The deal with the dragon

After Bilbo convinced Thorin of his culinary skills, the King under the Mountain insisted on signing an official contract. Under this deal, Thorin was obligated to give the hobbit shelter, protection and food, and Bilbo had to cook for him in return.

But there were special clauses in the contract - mandatory rules for Bilbo. He was not allowed to leave the Lonely Mountain or go beyond a certain area on his floor, he couldn't even try to go find Thorin on his own; he was forbidden to steal; and most important, he must NEVER leave his room on the last night of every month....

The "Frodo mentioning Sam before his own cousins" situation is hilarious but I think sometimes we forget that the little guy did it three times in one book.

Frodo Baggins, those are your blood and your friends. Why are you worrying about your gardener first and foremost. What are those priorities (affectionate).
