an overworked, divorced single mother, that's trying her best. yet between trying to ensure the family stays afloat & focusing on her youngest, joyce unintentionally neglects the emotional needs of her older children (jonathan getting the brunt of the stick, in particular). she assumes that since ness & jonathan seem more independant, that they don't need her as much.

the parentified eldest son. the protector. the photographer extraordinaire. jonathan always tried to protect his loved ones. when lonnie was around, he always tried to focus his father's anger on him. so, that lonnie would hurt him instead of his mother & siblings (ironically, his sister had done the same). after their father left, jonathan had to fill in as a father figure for will. he had to step up & become akin to a second parent. (he's so eldest daughter syndrome coded)

ngl its still insane that we can shift to a reality, a real reality, as real as this one in the blink of an eye and the fact that we always have and always can.
i know a lot of us have been infected by the brain rot of early shifttok or shiftblr, and the virality of shifting made a lot of dumbass rules that aren't even really rules into our minds.
something i've been thinking about recently is ... the absolute POWER of making your own shifting method. like, completely yours.

because i mean, think about it! no one does something the same exact way. when i wake up in the morning, i get ready in the way that makes sense for me. i don't get changed until i've brushed my teeth, washed my face, brushed my hair, etc. but my roommate gets dressed before washing her face, brushing her hair, or brushing her teeth ! and neither of us are wrong, and both of us are getting ready for the day. we're getting to the same place, just in different ways.
or, think about it in another way ! depending on if you're driving a truck, car, scooter, bike, or roller skates, you're gonna take different ways to get to your destination. you're not gonna go out into the middle of the road with a scooter, you're not gonna drive in the middle of a park with a big ass van.
you can do things in any way you want, with whatever tools you want. no one is wrong for doing things differently, because they're just different people :)
so, thinking about it in this way, why would you treat shifting any different? methods, subliminals, affirmations, ALL of these are other people's ways to get where they wanna go. sure, following someone else COULD work. not saying it won't. but it would be way easier to go the way that's easiest for you.
don't think you have to shift in the same way someone else does. in fact, don't even follow the steps that other people say worked for them. not every road map is the one for you!
it's like, so much fun too. it's like customizing your script, but even deeper, and even more specific. a method that works for you, because you know yourself, because you know what makes YOU happy. no compromises, nothing that's not 100% your choice. it even feels powerful, making your own method. like you're carving the terrain of your journey, making it even MORE your own choice and power.
try making a shifting method !! name it after yourself !! your dog !! only do things you wanna do !! anything can be a part of your method !! GO CRAZY !!!!
my unpopular / controversial opinions about shifting.
1) everything we know about shifting right now is debatable. i believe that we still know very few about reality shifting & the multiverse, and all we can do right now is theorize and view the whole concept according to our existing world views. that goes for everything we know about shifting. how do we 100% know concepts such as 3d and 4d exists? how do we know if we are an "awareness", what if we are something completely different? what if the multiverse is completely different from what we believe? does subconscious mind in the multiverse perspective really exist? how does reality shifting even work? the experiences/opinions of experienced shifters can't answer these questions in my opinion, as one can argue that every shifting experience has the potential to be completely personal.
2) there are absolutely no morals in the multiverse. before i further explain this, please note that i don't mean "fuck morals, do everything you want lololol". morals do exist in our reality, but think of this from a multiverse perspective, instead of focusing on the reality we live in. i believe that the concept of "morals" don't exist in the multiverse, at all. it means that the most horrible, uncomfortable things you can think of in this reality are completely normal in other realities. there are realities where we, as the shiftblr community, discuss about the most horrible realities in a very normal way. however, the topic of "is it acceptable to shift to realities where atrocious things are normal?" is very interesting, and i would love to see it being discussed in a respectful manner, as ethics philosophy can be very interesting in a shifting perspective!
3) shifting and spirituality should be separated. there is nothing wrong with practicing spiritual beliefs with shifting if you believe in them, but at its core, shifting should be separate from spirituality, as reality shifting is absolutely not exclusive to spirituals, pagans etc. crystals, chakras, moon phases, the idea of protection & evil spirits, herbs etc. are all borrowed terms from the spiritualism community, and non-believing shifters do not have to include them in their own journey, so in the nicest way possible, please stop forcing these terms to other shifters.
4) channeling and divination can also be separated. by this, i am meaning to say that channeling is not exclusive to tarot, shufflemancy, pendulum and other divination methods (again, there is absolutely nothing wrong with using these, i use them too!). i believe that channeling/telepathy between realities doesn't need tools or third parties at all, speaking from my personal experience. i talk to them, and they answer in many different ways. i ask for signs, and they send it. there is no need to limit communication to tools, in my opinion.
5) this is not the main & first reality. many people tend to see this reality as the "main" and "first and foremost" one, even if they deny it. your experiences, identity, self here is not that important, sorry not sorry. think about the countless infinite realities, think about how you can absolutely modify your future & past (you can just make it so you shifted to this reality much later, and you just chose to forget your memories). this reality does not define you at all, and your traits here are not something you "should" carry across different realities. if you grown to like it, definitely go for it, but again... please don't try guilting other shifters for what they choose to have. your self here could just be a random shell.
6) having different lovers in different realities is not cheating. again, that would be defining multiversal things in this reality's perspective and morals. i believe that people seem to think of it like "travelling across the city and spending time with multiple lovers who live in different parts of the city and know nothing of each other!!". it's just not that simple. your selves across realities are not the same people. the only same thing is you at your core, the awareness, which has absolutely no ties to a self or reality. you can only be aware of a dr self and their reality, completely separate from other selves and realities. while they may seem close, they are also very far away.
please (respectfully) feel free to disagree or agree with my opinions, i would love to see different thoughts and process them. like how my opinions are valid, yours are too.

✧ ice manipulation: users can create, shape, control, and manipulate ice, they possess complete control over ice, frost, and cold along with freezing water into a solid state. as an elemental power, cryokinesis has a nigh-limitless number of uses, only limited by the user's imagination and their natural limits. fundamentally. users would be able to generate ice through various means, such as lowering the temperature of the surrounding air until solid ice forms or by freezing nearby water sources, such as air humidity. they could release and channel this ice in the form of ice beams that freeze whatever it comes into contact with, or extremely rigid and durable ice walls and domes that can be used offensively and defensively. there's also the capacity to use ice in order to freeze one's opponents to death by trapping in ice that slowly kills their cells or shattering them to pieces once frozen.
✧ cold manipulation: users can create, shape and manipulate cold by reducing the kinetic energy of atoms and thus making things colder, ranging from subjective feeling of cool to absolute zero. a very possible side-effect of this power is the ability to induce illnesses that are directly cold based (for example hypothermia). bone and other limbs as well, can become brittle and weaken under extreme cold, to the point that they can shatter without pain due to loss of feeling and color in the affected area (frostbite).
✧ cold presence: the user has the ability to project a field that lowers the temperature around them, creating a constant chill.
✧ cryokinetic constructs: the user can turn ice into different shapes and forms of varying detail and permanence, ranging from simple representations such as images, to individual elements, substances and materials composing other objects, to functional items such as tools and weapons, to more complex creations such as living or non-living entities, architectural structures and even environments in certain cases, among other phenomena. depending on their control over the source of their constructs, those who have mastered this ability can use it for almost any situation, creating anything they need.
✧ snow manipulation: users can shape and manipulate snow, precipitation in the form of flakes of crystalline water ice. because snow is composed of small ice particles, it is a granular material with an open and therefore soft structure, unless subjected to external pressure. snowflakes come in a variety of sizes and shapes, with types that fall in the form of a ball due to melting and refreezing, rather than a flake, are known as hail, ice pellets or snow grains.
✧ ice transmutation: the user can transform subjects, including matter, energy, beings, powers, concepts, etc., into ice. the subject can either be transformed completely, partially, permanently or temporarily depending on what level of power the user has, with some users being able to induce and reverse the effect at will.
✧ snow mimicry: the user is made up of or can transform their body completely into snow. a user's transformed form is anatomically identical to their normal form, aside of being made of snow, in which case it contains all to organs and is somewhat vulnerable to attacks. alternately the user can transform into homogeneous matter, without any part of their form being more important than the other. while snow lacks the raw power and durability of ice, it more than makes up with flexibility. user can manipulate their form with ease, being able to shift from solid to snow-cloud, form weapons or scatter themselves over vast areas.
✧ ice imprisonment: the user can bind, imprison, encase, and/or otherwise stop object/being by surrounding them completely in ice.
✧ cryoscience: the user knows everything about the ice, snow, frost, winter and everything related to it. as such, they know everything within the ice, and what lies around and within it. the user knows everything when it comes to the ice because all its secrets are revealed, knowing all the ways and reasons of how the ice is supposed to be and work. these users are at their most powerful during the winter seasons or in frozen snow filled areas.
✧ arctic lordship: the user has total domain and control over arctic around the world. the user will be able to have unlimited control and power over arctic and their surroundings, some advanced users can create arctic areas out of nothing.
✧ ice magic: users are able to perform a legendary form of magic that allows the user to cast magical spells and feats through ice. in cold regions or the cold season, the user is capable of utilizing unlimited magical powers unless removed from the cold region or the cold season has passed. most people who use this power are called an ice wizard/witch.
✧ ice healing: the user can heal themselves or others by using ice, absorbing frozen energies and using them to freeze molecules, renewing damaged cells, causing them to stop bleeding. Ice can also provide energy to close up wounds, burn and allow optimal health.
✧ eternal winter inducement: the user is able to prevent spring from coming, trapping a land - perhaps even an entire realm - into an eternal winter.
✧ cold immunity: user is immune to cold, being completely invulnerable to direct and indirect effects. frigid and arctic-like areas, no longer decrease the user's body temperature. affectively, the user is immune to cold-based illnesses and conditions, that would otherwise weaken or even kill normal beings. users could even exist in cold climates, wearing minimal or no clothing to protect them.
✧ snow solidification: user can solidify or give solid-like properties to snow-based substances with the level of solidity going from loose jelly to metal-like hardness or beyond. alternatively, the user can also harden snow to make it denser and harder to break.
✧ ice breath: the user is able to generate and manipulate ice/cold within them in a way that allows them to shape the exhaling of the effect. these shapes can include bursts, streams, spheres, even a mist of it from the mouth. cold breath, like ice breath can freeze objects. however, unlike ice breath, it can have a less icy effect and ice-accumulating breath path. cold breath can also be manipulated so its path does not freeze objects at all
✧ ice teleportation: the user can use cold/ice/snow to teleport, they can turn or merge into ice, melt and reappear somewhere else, growing as ice and shattering it to be free.
✧ snow bestowal: the user can grant snow-based abilities onto others either temporary or permanently. the exact mastery over how powerful and intuitive others will be with their abilities could also depend on the user.
i always thought that this was a great shifting motivation (espically for people doubting it), so i wanted to share this.
there is this subreddit called r/glitch_in_the_matrix (with like 1 million members), and it's about people sharing their "weird" experiences, and as a shifter, you can easily understand that they are people who know literally nothing about shifting, but (most of them) experience shifts in their reality.
this is espically encouraging since the community forbides things like deja-vu, coincidence & "i'm not too sure but... i think this happened to me?".

not gonna lie, i feel guilty for snatching "best waterbender" title from katara. so, i scripted she and i have same/similar power level with our bending but she gets to be known as "the greatest waterbender". meanwhile, i get to be known as "the greatest healer".
...i am still not sure what to replace yue dying and turning into the moon spirit with. also, not sure how i will end up in the north pole or befriend yue (or anyone else, for that matter).
