Last autumn (2018) I was working on the project "My Granddad Invented Rugby"

At the beginning, I thought I’d just give a hand to my friends from the Делай Студия and that would be it. As it turned out, I simply couldn’t stop and made a few sequences 😅 Awesome team to work with, beautiful design and the animation style was super funny. Thanks everyone for this experience!

I’ll remember this year for at least one great accomplishment - graduating as the Master of Arts from Polish Film School and completing my FIRST diploma animation movie 

Guys, I’m so happy to have reached the finish line of this race that often seemed endless and madly twisted. And apart from this movie and an enormous list of script drafts and versions, I have also finished 4 short animated projects.

“Patisserie” is my first animation “baby” that I’m really proud of no matter how many things can still be improved. To put it in numbers: it took me around 3 months to produce it, plus extra hours spent after the official presentation, working on details to be improved.

Hi guys!  Hope these first fall days are going smoothly for you, and you are still enjoying sunny weather. As I said, I'm back to Paris, and I'd like to share with you some tasks I worked on in collaboration with other students from Animationschool.ru. We do this monthly routine by setting up a topic and during this time working intensely to come up with some worthy material. Last month we focused on "Dance Floor" scenario. Now, I'm backing off so you can enjoy pieces of my work. And yes, your feedback is very welcome and anticipated 🙌

This spring, as a student of a french animation school, I've participated in Disney Art Challenge that was associated with the release of the animated film "Incredibles 2".

The concept art was selected as "Every day life of superhero family". 

Luckily, my work was selected in a top 10! The best three pieces were announced at the award ceremony during the ANNECY festival.

The annual ANNECY animation festival has reached its finish line!

This year the event was dedicated to the Brazil theme and my class made 5 short animations.

Every day before the screenings you could have a chance to watch one of our short films. In particular, I was working in the group of other six great people on this piece!

This March I'll finally present my diploma movie at Polish film school! I've to say, it took way too much time, but anyway it was worth it. During the period I was working on my diploma, I come up with three fabulous ideas I'd like to share. This March I'll introduce one (the shortest, by the way) to the examination committee. I'll be working on the second idea when I'm off studying at Gobelins, while the third one should wait for its time. Here's the first sketch shot:

Today I'd like to share with you guys, a few shots of a short movie I did last year. In Spring 2017 I got a message from a student of an American animation school asking for a favor. Once I saw animatic and backgrounds, I said my 'yes' to help him. One of the most challenging tasks for me was a car flying from a hill. By the way, it was my first experience of animating dust. I've been overdoing myself trying to figure out the right design and motion. And I think I nailed it  P.S. Unfortunately, once the project was delivered and paid, I lost contacts with a customer and I didn't see the final result.

Here's Making Of of the annual 2D Special Effects assignment we've worked on in Gobelins l'ecole Dr l'image.

Each of my teammates has their own views, skills and level of experience, and it was a wonderful challenge to do one job together with 5 artists. Right now we're in the middle of another similar project for Annecy festival which this year will take place in June.

The "ORPHEE" animation short I have been working on is in front of you!!! 

At the end of November 2017 at GOBELINS l'école de l'image, we've been given a group assignment on mastering 2D visual effects, such as water, flames, smoke, etc.

The task lasted for about a month and was supposed to result in a short animation clip.

In a little while, I'll share the MAKING OF with my part.

The semester has started and it's time to show what we're up to. This time we did storyboarding. 

We were suggested to choose one of three scripts, and I made my mind on charachters of a French animation series I've never heard of before. That's too bad, the charachters from the "Over The Garden Wall" were added later. :D

Here's the results of my work, and already on Monday we will start a new assignment - character acting.

This year Gobelins l'école de l'image school did a huge step towards 3D. Here we are, the end of 1st studying year and our project is complete! Have to tell you, from the very beginning I was so excited about the task and an opportunity to work in a team. Thanks a lot to you, guys, who were standing next to me in a struggle for an idea. The result is in front of you!

Usually, working on some project, I've no idea of a final result. Fragments of images are swirling around in my head, before they fell into one place. I can't help but wonder how greatly the end 3D project would differ from what I have now. That's tricky, isn't it? 😉 To be continue!

From its very start this semester promised to be awesome: we had an assignment for composing a color key. We made it base on animatic from the French animation "Tout En Haut Du Monde", and I was greatly inspired to put to work all techniques I learned from online tutorials of other artists.

Here we go again – I fell back to modelling play dough 😊 Last time when I modelled a character for “Turn Around” task, the results were awesome. So, approaching the 3D assignment, I thought, “hey, why not to go the same way and use play dough?” Clay modelling helps at understanding character forms and dimensions and makes life way easier.

This year freshmen at Gobelins got a new 3D assignment. At some point, we became pioneers: if the results turn out to be catchy, the idea will be left for future courses as well. The group of 2-4 students picks a music piece (45 s) by Pablo Pico, and basing on it, creates a short video-visualization, inspired by the melody. Our group chose quite a rhythmic composition that indeed reminds a struggle with Japanese motives. Preproduction is almost done and here's the movie palette. Enjoy!
