Good little slice of information about long term food storage. It really isn't very expensive to get an extra bag of rice and an extra bag of dry beans when you go grocery shopping. It will add up and before you know it, you'll have enough for over a year. A very important thing to remember! Water (at least in the desert, where I live) is hard to come by. Remember that it's important to have water on hand, as well as means to purify water. This is one of my EDC car kits! I'll be doing a review on this one, as it is primarily focused around fire starting...with a few blades thrown in for good measure. This whole kit fits inside a Vargo Titanium BOT! This is everything I would need to start a fire in multiple ways, have fuel if needed, a stove to set the BOT on purify water, signal for rescue, and cook up a meal.
