Lily smiled and played with a strand of her hair. âI could do the purple wig. Iâve worn a bright blue one before so it wouldnât be much different. What would you wear? Jeans and a flannel t shirt?â She wasnât sure she had ever seen Eddie so casual but the image she conjured of him in her head made her giggle a little. Seeing him casual and relaxed was not a sight she was used to. Sure sheâd seen him in things besides a suit, sheâd seen him in scrubs at the hospital and covered in baby food and throw up but the though of him in jeans and flannel wasnât something she was used to. âYou did not just get lucky. You are an incredible actor and you worked hard. You deserve all the awards, though I do require you to share them with me because it keeps me motivated. Until I can get of my own.â She looked down at his hand on hers and smiled. This was nice, it felt normal. âI want to do this. Itâs not just about you. I mean a lot of it is but itâs also what I want. I think Iris deserves the chance to grow up where we did. The idea of the three of us being closer more often doesnât suck either.â She smiled and leaned back in her seat. âHe wonât mind. He likes having her around and packed enough for him to keep her overnight.â
âI definitely think that you should do the purple wig, blueâs okay but purple is more your color.â Eddie chuckled, as he licked his lower lip. At the mention of a flannel and jeans he wrinkles his nose, âI could pull off jeans, like dark jeans or black jeans, proper jeans.â Of course he would mention proper jeans. Nothing like the weird baggy jeans that men seemed to wear these days. He was also 90 percent sure, those were the jeans the brunette was speaking about. Something that he wouldnât be able to handle for more then seeing a movie, then going hom and changing. Giving a roll of his eyes, âWell thank you, still think Iâm just a lucky bloke who fell into the right place at the right time, donât get me wrong, wouldnât change any of it for the world.â Everything between them felt like it had been them for years, it was like they were going on any other typical date, a date a couple would keep up to keep the sparks fresh between them. Something Eddie felt quite strongly for in the current moment. If it wasnât being totally out of character he would have leaned over and kissed the brunette right then and there. Though, he doubted the girl would have appreciated the driver having a view of them possibly getting handsy. So for now, he would have to keep that to himself, the night was young. Pulling up outside the first stop, he smiled as the door was opened for him after a brief moment. Clos Maggiore. Tucked in the Covent Gardens, he had spent a decent dime on renting the entire place out. The inside gave a clear view to the stars above through a retractable glass roof, adding in them surrounded by the trees of flowers he couldnât wait for her to see it. Taking her arm he helped her out of the car and escorted her inside to see the table centered, surrounded by candles and the beautiful blooming flowers of the restaurant. âI figured, despite wanting normal, you might like a date night with a little privacy. Donât worry, the chef is making your favorite.â he whispered into her ear before walking her forward and pulling out her chair.Â
