I'm probably mostly going to use this for writing an art and less so rants like I do on tt but that seems pretty common on here
My pronouns are he/they/it but if the joke calls for it idgaf I'll be a woman if the joke is funny enough
I like to think I'm pretty funny and I like to think I'm a decent writer but I know that I'm not the best I could be and so if there's any grammar mistakes I love constructive criticism maybe less so on my art but I'm still open for that.
All of my works are prone to editing because I don't have any beta reader's except for one of my friends (they don't have any social media otherwise I would credit them)
Another small thing all of my random little one-off things are usually done with voice to text because I'm lazy especially my supernatural blogs/my supernatural watch through updates so if there's any weird mistakes please let me know because I try to read it as it puts out the stuff so I can go back and edit it
I love yaoi and goldfish the snack (this may seem out of left field but I LOVE goldfish)

Was inspired by the wonderful post by @hailed-marys so me and @sam-i-am-27 got possessed by the demons and came out with this.

* Astrophage is more like a virus that either alters people, causing them to commit crimes or violent acts, or a power that supervillains are starting to use.
* Grace is still a middle school teacher who got bitten by the spider, obviously.
* Adrian is the one who stitched up the suit (the Aunt May of this universe).
* He has all the perks of a normal Spider-Man, but he's still Grace, so he's incredibly clumsy. He does have a super-strong spider sense, and that's what saves him 100% of the time, but he absolutely does not have the agility. When adrenaline kicks in, he can do anything, but otherwise he'll trip over the most ridiculous things.
* He was wearing his yellow raincoat the first time he saved someone, so now he wears it over his suit (along with his white Converse).
* The spider was discovered by SHIELD (which is undercover as a scientific research facility that Grace works for part-time). After the original test subjects (who were only able to survive the spider mutations if they possessed a specific gene) were killed in an attack, Eva delivered the spider to Grace so he could be bitten before other villains got their hands on that power. (My boy gets unwillingly turned into a savior in every universe.)
* Simon is still an ex-convict who, in exchange for his freedom, is asked by the evil company of the day to test a series of mines infected by what appears to be blood from a meteorite (which eventually turns out to be the symbiote Ellie!).
* At first, they wanted to kill each other, but they end up becoming besties.

Sorry this took me forever to post I got superrr hyperfixated I'm reading all of game changers by Rachael Reid (spoiler alert I got through almost all of them and now I'm really burnt out after the 6th through the last book) but I'm back now even though I've had this chapter basically done since I posted the last chapter sryy

Quick twenty minute timeskip
I've stopped crying by now, I know Mark is still at the door. Just yet another thing I need to add to my list of things I need to deal with. I unplug the bath and watch as the water swirls down the drain ever so often creating vortexes before they die off only to create another one. Now all I have to do is stand up. It's simple. Even a toddler who can't walk can at least stand. It’s one of the first milestones of any child. And I'm not a child. I push against the cold white acrylic forcing my body up to try to get my footing. I try and fail about ten times before giving up, grabbing my clothes from off the floor, and putting them on (which takes me almost an hour) before calling out to mark “i need help.”
It's the first time I've ever said that and really meant it.
As soon as the words left my mouth mark was opening the door. “What do you need?” Mark asks, looking around the bathroom trying to figure out what was wrong.
“my legs won’t move.”
Mark gasps “ do you want me to carry you back to your bed?” he asks. ”...Yeah… that’d be nice.” I say reluctantly
Mark lifts me into his arms and carries me to my bed.
He's surprisingly strong for a powerless old man.
“ You remind me of my son, you know.” he says, setting me down. “You have a son?” I ask, sitting up on the bed. “I had one.” he says “ he died recently.” Mark adds quietly, as he sits on the bed with me. “He was about your age,“ he says. “Really?” I ask reluctantly. Growing up in a house full of… whatever was wrong with my parents, didn’t make me great with others emotions but if i can comfort Matt while half asleep i can comfort this old guy while dealing with whatever’s wrong with my legs and the realisation that I may never see my best friend or brother ever again. I'll be fine.
I’ll be fine. Everything’s fine. You’ll be fine, Alex. Matt and Jason are better off thinking you’re dead anyways.
I’m thirsty. Oh fuck. When did Mark leave? Did I say something to him? I think so. But the better question is, did I say the right thing to him? Did I insult him? I don’t think so. I think I comforted him. Probably.
Since when was it night time? Have I been on auto pilot for the whole day?

Scott Hunter
I absolutely LOVE this song for Scott I think it fits him soo perfectly.
The lyrics "I've rejected affection for years and years now I have it, and damn it It's kind of weird" fits well with the fact that Scott does exactly this he doesn't date anyone and when he finally meets kip
The next lyrics "He tells me I'm pretty. don't know how to respond i tell him that he's pretty too, can I say that? Don't have a clue." I swear this happens WORD FOR WORD in the book (I don't actually think so cuz I was just looking through the book and I couldn't find it but I swear I remember it happening)
First of all New York City is mentioned. So that's got to count for something.
Secondly the lyrics, "Whatever you decide, if you are true to you, you're gonna be alright" just feels so Scott Hunter to me. Especially if you've read the other books because after he is true to himself he is in fact alright.
Then, the lyrics, "I wonder as I wander if I'll ever settle down or if every day I'll take my roots uprooted en route to another town" feel sitting because since Scott Hunter is a hockey player he constantly and I feel like this was also mentioned in the book at least in some way of Scott wondering if he'll ever have like a wife and kids like the rest of his teammates (I'm not going on a scavenger hunt to find out if I'm right or not I read this book like a month ago)
Christopher "Kip" Grady
I made this list a while back and I re-listened to the song to write this and holy shit I forgot this song was made for him. Forget the fact that I put this song for Shane as well, this is Kip's song.(And Kyle's. spoiler alert I guess. I'm also putting this for Kyle. Which, even more spoiler alert almost all of the songs I'm putting for Kip I'm also putting for Kyle because they are just so similar.)
The lyrics "When I saw you standing there with the dyed-up blonded hair. they said that you had clout I said I didn't care. When the liquor was all clear I could see you through the glass. There's something I could tell you but I forgot to ask." This is so on the nose I don't even know what to say except for the liquor part and technically the dyed blonde hair but he is blonde.
Also "When the sunlight meets the dawn you'll see I'm not the one you want 'cause I look better in the dark." Because he's insecure and that's like the whole plot point near the end of the book.
This is kind of a joke but also not really. This song played while I was looking for songs for him and it kind of fits. I think it especially if it's if you remember the scene where Scott tries to pay off his student loan debt and he flat out refuses like he freaks out and he refuses (fair. Not to say that's what I would do but, fair nonetheless).
He's a yearner I don't know what to say.

I don't feel like I need to explain this one. Especially when you consider they get married later in the series and from what I can tell and the other books they are insufferable. They are genuinely the most in love couple it's disgusting. So this song is perfect for them.
Again, I don't have to say anything on this one. It's just a their song. I had to include it by law otherwise I'd be arrested.
New York. Uhh it just kinda feels fitting. I swear the next one is good I just put these on the list of songs that I thought were fitting and I don't know what to say some of them lol.
I mainly going to be focusing on the concept of this song because I feel like I don't understand the lyrics deeply enough to go into depth about the lyrics similarly to if I ever use Dan the dancer, for example, I'm going to be vague because I feel like I don't understand that song well enough to be talking about it in depth. But I feel like Kip would be the singer in this instance (The Father's son) and I think Scott would be the runner. I think this because in the book (and the show I guess but I feel like the show doesn't show kips inner turmoil with being hidden for so long as well as the book does which is mainly because it's harder to show that in a show but that's beside the point) Scott isn't actively running from his relationship, sure, but he is running from his true self (being gay). I feel like I don't need to explain why I think Kip is the Father's son because if you've read the book or watch the show you know that he's very close with his dad. Also the song kind of gets bonus points by being by the same person that made THEIR song.
That's all I have! I know a lot of these were really vague and I didn't really talk about them all that much but my next post about this will probably be longer because I absolutely love tough guy it is my favorite book in the series (so far. Okay, this is a really obscure rant but in Tomodachi Life why is there not a wheel for skin tone? I'm trying to make a kip on my Island and the closest options are either banana yellow or a different race and I'm so annoyed that there isn't any in between. He's either forced to change races like Ariana or he's forced to look like a minion. WHY ARE THESE MY ONLY OPTIONS

This one's pretty obvious and I think it fits him really well but the specific lyrics of "I got a red Ferrari I'm a superstar I really like to party am I cool or what? I love a lot of women I'm a superstar Stars got a freaky living That's the way we are"

2. He likes to party and is known as a ladies man by the public.

First of all, daddy issues. Second of all, I'm projecting. Third of all, I think the lyrics " and I believe that, yeah ,Dad, maybe no one is perfect. But I believe that you were pushing your luck. It just sucks it played out like this a terrible movie and you can tell that none of the actors even give a fuck." Is how Ilya views his father
And the following lyrics of " and you look good tonight girlfriend can I sleep in your bed? And when I crawl out in the morning can I stay inside your head?" Is how Ilya to some degree views his relationship with Shane

Is this a cop out? Most definitely. But I picked this because I feel like it kind of captures the insecurity that Shane feels and his relationship with Ilya especially the lyrics " and when the sunlight meets the dark you'll know I'm not the one you want cuz I look better in the dark" and also the reference of a lighter in the lyric " a lighter makes a spark." Which could be a reference to the fact that Ilya smokes if you really think about it.

The lyrics " Your mother never grew up but boy she sure grew old" could be interpreted as how Ilya's mother never got to physically grow up but she did get to mentally grow old before she killed herself(yes I know his mother was an adult but in the book Ilya comments on how his mother was "too young" for his father) . Or if you change "your mother" to "your father" it's the opposite because his father never grew up mentally because he's a dick head and because of dementia but he did get to grow old.
And the lyrics "When you stay up at night are you scared of my ghost? When you love her did you know you love me the most?" Could be interpreted as when Shane was in a "relationship" with Rose Landry and this is Ilya's internal monologue.

It's mitski. Idk what to tell you it's pretty self explanatory lol
So I already brought this up in this post but I didn't explain it because it felt pretty obvious to me and that wasn't the point of that post. But the specific lyrics that really make it obvious to me is "you strut right in and you get on my nerves but I won't say I'm disturbed because I want you to" these lyrics I feel like is exactly how their relationship was in the beginning and these lyrics can also be heard as " because I want you too" as in I want you as well which is EXACTLY how their relationship was in the beginning.

I think Ilya would listen to rave music. Not because I have anything to back this up other than the fact that he drives fast cars and he's known as a ladies man and he goes to clubs. Am I projecting? Most definitely. Do I care? No.
Examples:
Did I add joost bc he's the only even vaguely Russian rave artist I listen to? Yes. Does that mean I think he wouldn't listen to joost? No.
