I'll say it now, I probably didn't take the best photo of the dish but that is not its fault and the smashed cod inside was nothing short of delightful. Plus the saffron flavoured sauce just steals your heart. This trendy and VERY busy cafe requires reservations if you hope to get a table and it serves up extremely delicious tapas, cocktails, breakfasts, coffees and desserts with variety. The price tag matches the quality of food; both are high but not too expensive by London standards. I felt like I was eating amongst the cool kids on the Islington block and was hoping to fit in. What does one do when they're in a commute across London and they realise they need food immediately? They look at the options in Victoria station and pick the hottest food that is likely to warm them up. It's not exactly winter here but England's spring sometimes feels like Australian winter weather so a Cornwall pasty was required. Most of the flavours will contain onion so I'm guessing that's a key ingredient. Since it was my first pasty in London I went for traditional: potato, onion and beef. It was fresh, so full on the inside and not too salty. Here it is, my first meal in London!! I'm way too excited and happy to be here. During my last week in Sydney I had the pleasure of trying out Bar No. 5. It's a massive warehouse in Alexandria that has been converted to a cool hangout spot for anyone looking to try a hipster space that serves great cocktails and has an appetizing menu to match. If you take a walk along Barangaroo you will find a new district filled with an abundance of restaurant choices that cater to all tastes. From Asian to American cuisine, I stopped into Old Town Hong Kong to see what's on offer.
