aight guys let me rant rn... read at your own discretion

update on how im coping without edoll and dolla lmao. okay so earlier i was making the new edoll Discord server but our original edoll server kept flashing in front of my eyes... i kept hesitating... i just COULDN’T. i miss it, i love my creation, and i can’t believe how much it really grew... every time i stare at our channels and allat, there’s this energy i’m feeling that makes it feel like home lol... (well it really became my home, i enjoy taking care of my edoll and dolla too) but now i have to focus on myself... in real life... my mental health... i don’t really wanna put it on hiatus if i don’t really have a reason to... i feel so sad...

also i just really wanna move on from Discord because of the amount of shitty people on there. i’m basically so deadbeat... the way i have to deal with raids, trolls, threats... and also the tryhard copycats who claim they own edoll... i’m so sick of it... (not to mention my past there) i am lowkey feeling down about this because i love it so much. ik it’s just a server and it’s not that deep (ye i have no life), but the bond that was built there... ts feels like a heartbreak i have to move on from...

hopefully when i have the time... hopefully... i can reopen it... ugh i’m scared of missing out on a lot. what if edoll becomes really popular on Discord and, i might be delulu for this, but we become forgotten... not remembered by a single soul... ‎ ‎ edoll’s first birthday and anniversary

‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎welcome to edoll’s origin/lore. edoll turns 1 year old today! edoll is a little doll-themed server on Discord created by Marle, the Owner (me writing this), and Lia, the Co-Owner.

‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎Marle first came up with the idea of making a server early in May of 2025 while going through a heartbreak (it’s one hell of a lore) and wanting to distract herself and expand her circle of friends.

‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎our original, supposedly anniversary date is May 7, because that was when i created the blueprint and first edoll Discord server. honestly, i was only lowkey planning on creating a dummy server where i could practice how i wanted everything to look. it’s still up to this day, and i still practice everything there before putting it into the edoll server we have today. plus, i really love the number 13, so i was like, okay, i’m going to create the released version on May 13. it took me around a week, maybe even two weeks, to fully finish everything,

‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎and on May 18 we had our soft launch, which was when the server officially opened to the public. so technically, we have three anniversary dates now, lol.

‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎i had a really clear vision of how i wanted my server to look and how the systems were going to run. for example, i am really not a fan of role names that straight up say “owner” or “staff.” even though that helps members know who you are, i still wanted it to feel aesthetic and edoll-coded.

‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎so yeah, lowkey, our server is the kind where you are probably going to have a hard time comprehending everything at first. even our rules are really chill, but if you are a killjoy, then that equals a ban.

‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎since Lia never actually finishes all the servers she makes (we have a server called affectionate that was created way back in January 2025, but she never really opened it. i always encourage her to open it up, aurghrghh, she’s too lazy and maybe busy, i guess),

‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎Marle just randomly came up with making a server and named it “edoll” (she’s really proud of it and thinks it’s the most unique Discord server name ever). also, not to claim any ownership over the word “edoll” or sound cocky or anything (i just HATE people who clearly saw it from us, clearly got it from us, then start spiraling and attacking us because we have already experienced that situation, and then suddenly claim it as theirs. like girl? anyone can be edoll, but clearly you never will be), but we really were the ones who populated it on Discord, so i understand why these copycats keep trying to own it from us, lol. anyways, we are clearly and technically the FIRST edoll Discord server on Discord. even Google search engines will tell you otherwise. debunk it with me now. so yeah, we really do have a reputation to take care of.

‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎where did marle get that name from, you may ask? she got it from everskies. i was also lowkey known as a gyaru on everskies, and i was pretty active in that community for almost a year until i eventually went on a break and started becoming more active on Discord instead. i am still trying to get back into it and make more showcases, but i honestly never get the time to do so. i will definitely get back to it in the future though. some of the edoll staff and members, including Lia, our Co-Owner, actually met through everskies and maintained a platonic friendship ever since.

‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎a mutual user of Marle on everskies had a username (well, shout out to her, i asked her permission to be included in this. she’s kind of inactive when i checked, but i’ll still mention her) called “@/dollifiy.” thanks to her,

‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎while i was randomly scrolling through Pinterest, i saw an ad called “Dollify,” an app that’s downloadable.

‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎later on, i changed my username on Pinterest to “@/edollify”

‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎(as my everskies user is “@/mydolliest,” which i got from such a pink princess user on Instagram). that’s where the origin of edoll came from, especially

‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎since i was also seeing so many smart dolls (i have a whole Pinterest board of them now) and edoll figures all over my Pinterest feed.

‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎and since we now have a new addition to our efamily, she’s called dolla. she’s edoll’s doll and our server’s currency. okay, here’s a little lore about dolla. i decided to create an economy for edoll, and speaking about our server’s currency symbol, i just picked a random emoji inside the server lol. at first i was not so sure, but since i was lowkey rushing everything and i am a really big fan of heart wings (it’s lowkey my symbol atp), i think it turned out pretty good. what’s dolla without its wings, right?

‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎and i had already planned everything in my head and all that, but one thing was missing: the final touch. what would the server currency name be? in my head, i was planning to name it some y2k-type thing like “glitter,” “glitz,” “blingeez,” “gloss,” or “rhinestones,” something like that. then Yen asked a bot to suggest some doll currency names or something.

‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎the funny part is, the bot had not even typed everything out yet, but the moment i saw the word “dolla,” that was when i knew that would be it.

‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎and since i love Americans and it’s lowkey like “dollar” just without the R,

‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎one more amazing thing is that it goes along with our server name, edoll. like Edoll + dollA = EdollA, which is cute.

‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎also, our server economy name is edollconomy. just put the word “doll” into “economy,” lol, but it works so well. one of our members noticed it and pointed it out, but it had already been in my mind, i just did not pay attention to it until it got pointed out.

‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎also, i have a really clever quote, and i’m planning for it to be our slogan or trademark. here it is: “every girl who owns a doll toy is edoll, and every doll toy is dolla.” or “every doll toy is dolla, and every girl who owns a doll toy is edoll.”

‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎nothing. i just wanted to make this tumblr blog so when the time comes and edoll becomes an officially dead server, i will never forget everything about this, and i can always come back to visit and read this any time of the day (lol, like a gravestone). this just serves as that. my online friends are so dear to me. also, i am really proud that i got to create something like this. even though we have been through a lot dealing with copycats, and i have experienced being threatened and all that, mind you, no one could ever bring edoll down other than me, its owner.
