Vanessa Stockard was born in 1975 in Sydney and spent her formative years in a small country town in the Mid North Coast of New South Wales. At 12 she returned to Sydney and after graduating from the College of Fine Arts (COFA) Sydney in 1998 with a BFA, Stockard launched head first into the avant-garde art scene in the bohemian village of Glebe.
I overheard a couple talking about Tanith Lee today and I thought about you as my mind was filled with memories and feelings from the past. I couldn’t help but smile to myself. Hope all is well on your end lis.
Late to the party here, but I hope you know this warms my heart.
Listen. Cut your own hair. Dye it blue, then shave it off when you’re bored of it. Wear that outfit with those shoes. Paint your nails with all the colors of the rainbow. Get that tattoo. Go to the movies alone. Get coffee, then drink it at that special place you like. Mouth the words of the song you’re listening to on public transport. Put that thing on your wall. Bake. Draw. Dance in your underwear. Life is so much better when you don’t give a fuck
I JUST PASSED THIS MANNEKIN AND I GOT SO HAPPY!! Fuck the society ideals, this is the real deal!!

Thank you for your support, especially through this turbulent time lately. Since this is my first book, I’d appreciate it if you left a review wherever you buy it – not only is it helpful for others, but it also lets me know what I’m doing well, and what I can do better on my next book.
Thanks! :D

At first I wanted to kill him. But now I’m glad I’ve spent the time to get to know him. Yeah, of course he looks delicious with his big red cheeks. But we’ve all got an agreement that we’re not going to eat Stu. Right? Right.
#this is even funnier considering that Stu irl was not even an actor and in fact an actual IT specialist who thought he was #going out for a job #and somehow they convinced him to be a part of this movie
Oh man, that’s the cherry on top.
Stu Rutherford created a new stroby light technology that Waititi used in Thor: Ragnarok! That gorgeous bit in Valkyrie’s backstory? He and his friend Carlo van de Roer designed that lighting.
HE’S GIVEN US SO MUCH.
I’m glad they didn’t eat Stu.
