So agreed - and given that this moment comes off that phone call, you know, the one that immediately has alarm bells going off in Dean’s head when Cas isn’t answering (I mean, Dean can barely stand still while waiting for Cas to pick up, right?) it’s just a beautiful extension of Dean being protective af throughout this entire episode. And why is he protective af? Because he’s already been walking around in a huff of worry for a week, thinking he’ll lose Cas, thinking his actions (contacting Billie) will be the reason. I love this episode. 

I have a feeling protective!Dean will make a resurgence in S13. Like Big Time.
