UGH I'm in my feels about Rose okay here we go

i love how aggressively not for the male gaze she is. she's often wearing just jeans and a t-shirt and doesn't do things ~suggestively~ wink wink. Rose is absolutely gorgeous but that's not like a character trait. like, I couldn't imagine anyone saying something about her that's akin to "she's an enigma wrapped in a skirt that's just a bit too tight" (or whatever 11 says about Clara). Rose's looks are just not a big factor in who she is and the role plays in the show. she's just 100% a regular human girl who you would see on the street and may even be friends with. it's so easy to see yourself in this character because she isn't an idealised woman and she really is just like you fr which made her the perfect companion to start with

Idk maybe I’m too woke but I always find it strange when byler artists make money off of their drawings. Like… this is fandom. It’s about volunteering your time to invest in a community that you love. Unless you are actually spending money on materials (like making and shipping keychains, physical paintings, etc), you should not be profiting. You should only charge enough to compensate for the materials.

It feels lowkey disrespectful to the people who make art for nothing in return. Why is yours worth more than mine? Everyone contributes to this fandom. You’re not special.

Writing and drawing may be a hobby for you, but for many people thats how they make a living. Art is a service, when you get commissioned you are doing a custom service that you wouldn't normally do in exchange for money. People want custom art, so they pay people money to make them custom art, thats just how the world works. You dont get anything in return because you are doing it on your own free time for fun. There is no demand. If you dont like artists making money for digital art, then your problem should be with the customer offering to pay them, not the artist.
