a fanboy's dream ~ spiderflash
This conversation was rapidly moving into awkward territory and Peter was beginning to wonder if maybe he should’ve just said hi without actually stopping. At least then he wouldn’t be stuck on the sidewalk trying to figure out a way to make Flash Thompson feel better. Seriously, when had cheering up his tormentor from high school become a thing? “You shouldn’t be doing it to impress me, man. You should be doing it because it’s right. You’ve changed a lot though, and it hasn’t gone unnoticed.” There, that should at least help the situation instead of making it worse.
"I'm not doing it just to impress you, dude," Flash mumbled, frowning up at the masked hero. "I'm doing it because I'm here and I want to and if I don't, I'll get kicked out." That was a bit of a lie, because Spider-Man had really been the catalyst for it all, but still. "Plus the more I can give my dad to be proud of... Never mind." And with that, he flashed a bright grin at the man in front of him. "You know, it's really cool that you stopped to talk to me, man."
