Meet the Depths: Desecrates
There are many Depths in the Consequence Universe. Some are weak, unintelligent and very little threat but most must be approached with caution and are considered dangerous.
The first I'd like to talk about is the Desecrate. You've seen them all over the place in Season One and you'll keep seeing them in Season Two. They are considered the weakest and least threatening of all the Depths.
They act as a huge mind, following the most powerful and intelligent of their group at all times. What makes them most dangerous though is their ability to congregate. They are attracted, drawn to each other and the longer a few longer, the more of them you will soon see as they tend to pull more of their kind into the area.
They have no eyes or ears or nose. Just blank, empty faces with mouths and sharp teeth. Their bodies are blue and spindly with short sharp black claws. They stand right around five feet tall
However as negativity in the area grows, the more numerous their baseline numbers become. But they will also become stronger as well. They will become more muscular, faster and more intelligent. They will develop more features like eyes, a nose, or ears.
They can be killed by any means so people tend to carry collapsible batons, baseball bats, or other blunt weaponry to quickly destroy the Desecrates' fragile bodies if they are cornered, chased, or feel threatened. Most people don't find them threaten, at least no more than a wild raccoon in their house. They're just part of life.
