It’s so so much fun to take a scene and decompose it ! and break it down colour by colour, shade by shade!!
It’s a good study in colour, and it’s always a fun way to get more aquatinted with real life tones and stuffs!!
I think i definitely need improvement in the refining process, and I need to get more used to various shades and creases ! But I’m getting there bit by bit!!

You mentioning how Harry Clearwater's death didn't matter and was just a plot point reminded me of something else. Did anyone ever confront Jasper on almost killing Bella in NM or at the very least ADDRESS that? That incident was the catalyst for the entirety of NM, but I don't remember anyone saying much of anything about it after the fact. Jasper is back in school in Eclipse, Bella is fine with him, and so on. Even if you don't blame him, NO ONE had any misgivings with him after that?!
Yeah this was mostly just a plot-point too. There’s no fallout for Jasper or with Jasper’s relationship with Bella. The next time Bella sees Jasper is at the airport, and she’s just describing the intimacy of Alice and Jasper gazing into each other’s eyes rather than being like “oh yeah that guy tried to kill me six months ago.”
To be fair, the Cullens bounce right after it happens so there may have been fallout behind the scenes that Bella doesn’t know about, but by the time they come back it’s all water under the bridge and no one seems to care that it happened or be that worried about it happening again, which reads as “it was a way to get Edward to leave” vs “this is an important part of the story and the repercussions will be felt going forward.” By the end of New Moon, Alice and Edward are furious with ROSALIE for her phone call, but Edward doesn’t seem to have the slightest problem with Jasper, who tried to kill the love of his unlife, because, oh well, vampires, what are you gonna do?
Would have been interesting to see some conflict there between Edward/Jasper, or Edward not wanting to bring Bella to the Cullen house anymore, or Bella being scared of being around Jasper, or something. And it makes all the “don’t hang out with werewolves they are DANGEROUS” all the more laughable because Jasper tried to eat her. Not Jacob or Paul or Jared. Jasper. And all the other Cullens save Carlisle were ~tempted. It’s not the werewolves who are dangerous.
I’m not the first to say this, but it might have been better/more interesting if Edward were the one to attack Bella. She’s his blood singer, after all. His angst and devastation and the overall gloom of New Moon might have felt more … I don’t know the word? Proportional? Earned? if Edward himself were the source of the accident that caused the breakup. Making it be Jasper kind of feels like passing the buck–she wanted something Bad to happen but didn’t want to tarnish Edward, so Jasper. But then because there’s no lasting/meaningful fallout or follow-through with Jasper, it’s like it never even happened at all. I get that Bella’s supposed to be super forgiving but realistically some tension here would have been more interesting.
I’m never going to see enough of what the Cullen Kids do all night. One night Alice and Jasper make a life-sized chessboard out of giant boulders. Alice and Emmett spend a week seeing if they can make a noise loud/high enough to shatter glass. Jasper holds world records for speedruns for pretty much any video game you could imagine. Rosalie has crafted the most horrifying shambling statues in various forests that scare the living daylights out of tourists. Edward’s guitar hero skills are otherworldly. They break into the grocery store and turn every product up side down. Alice and Rose change all storefront displays to be “better”. Emmett and Jasper dig a hole as deep as they can “just to see what’s down there”. Edward mopes a lot. Like a lot a lot. They build a house of cards using a dozen and a half full decks of cards. They play 6th dimensional chess. Tag is banned by Esme out of concern for the local wildlife. Give me more give me more give me more
