Elderly lesbian neighbours once again confirmed most excellent people on earth. We hung out on their back porch last and ate vegetarian pizza and hummus and salad and homemade focaccia and midway through Wife #1 goes ‘I noticed your shorts and I’ll be right back’ (ominous), walks inside, and returns with a box stuffed to the gills with yarn. There’s several hundred dollars worth of silk and mohair and Donegal tweeds and Pima cotton in here and I’m like what does this have to do with my shorts??? and she’s like the colour of your shorts (burnt orange) reminded me of this yarn and we already picked the ones we want and since we don’t wear orange, you can have as much as you want of it. and I took all of it.
