Little 7 year old me at the Venice biennale enjoying this string from the wall exhibit. I remember pulling this string out for hours. I could not believe it just kept going. Had so much fun. This was my 7th birthday trip I went on with my dad. We spent a long weekend in Venice, still one of my favourite ever trips.

Sometimes you go to fucking Grenada with your parents and it’s awesome and you see an ivory Jesus statue at the Alhambra (built 1238-1358 by the Moors when Spain was under Muslim rule before the Christian reconquest in 1492) AND you drink delicious rum with hot chocolates at the Parador hotel in the Alhambra! (We’re not staying there just needed a pick me up but apparently very nice and expensive hotel)
