I dont mean this as hate towards thatmob or anything but there are several flaws in the writing of the verity series IN MY OPINION(THIS IS MY THOUGHTS)

Its very obviously based on obsession which wouldn't be bad if it didnt fly over what obsession is about. Mob killing himself at the end like bear killed himself in the movie doesn't exactly make sense and I mean that in the way that bear killed himself to escape the consequences of his misogyny, mob was a victim in this. Mob being a stand in for bear does not make sense, bear is a disgusting individual who used nikki for his selfish desires, Mob did not use verity hell, Mob didnt know that hes gonna install him in the first place. I dont think thatmob did this in any malice but I do find the fact that he missed the point of the movie quite infuriating.

Along with that I really wish that he didnt just turn around and support ai chat chatbots being used in the mods, a huge point of obsession is that we shouldn't rely on ai for help and that bear is a dumbass for doing so and the entire character of verity and how hes treated could also be interpreted as a critique.

And this one isn't towards the actual series but I really dislike how verity is characterized by people, a lot of people dismiss the obvious bpd coding caused by his inspiration being nikki. Yes, he shouldn't be fucking killing and eating people obviously, but there is a reason to why he feels threatened enough to get rid of his fps when they stop paying attention to him. Im not saying that hes a good guy or anything im just saying that we should stop treating him like a heartless demon rather than an ai that doesn't know how to properly deal with his issues.
