Call me Minty :] I'm 23, queer, and tired of this grandpa
I work full time so this won't be as active as other art blogs can be
I don't engage in community discourse because my time and energy is precious to me and I'm not going to waste it on stupid shit. I block as my heart desires
My art interests are all over the place — both in terms of fandom and medium. I like Spiderverse, F1, Marvel, Malevolent, and a bunch of other things that will likely make appearances at some point. Art-wise I like digital art, pencil sketching, acrylic painting, linocut, and battle jacket design. I love character design and graphic design. I'll try anything once. Or twice.
A lot of commentary will be made in tags, I'll try to do my due diligence on tagging spoilers/triggers as need be
I'm going to try keeping non-art reblogs to a minimum here, that's what my main blog is gonna be for now
Commissions are currently closed due to aforementioned full time job, and I'm likely not going to take art requests unless I've got the time for it or I specifically ask for it
Did a mini painting of one of my favorite Arthur lines from Part 60 of Blackstone!!
I've been meaning to do a depiction of Arthur with his golden blindfold as a stylization of John's presence for a long time so it's nice to finally get to do that :]
My final batch of Artfight attacks for 2026! My grand total of attacks tallied up to 16, which is more than I've ever done in a year! Technically there was one that I wasn't able to finish until a few hours past the deadline, but I submitted the sketch for points, so it still counts!
OCS ATTACKED:
Morningstar by @xkiiblade
Atlas Arden by @mintymuses-arts
Anne Stark by @Funkysartss
Thanks for another great Artfight! See you next year!

Butcher`s Crossing by John Williams.
The story follows William Andrews, a young Harvard student who leaves his life behind to explore the American West. The book begins and ends in the fictional frontier town of Butcher's Crossing, Kansas, in the early 1870s, where Andrews joins a buffalo-hunting expedition. He and the people he meets along the way must confront and survive the brutal realities of nature in their attempts to get buffalo hides to sell. Along the way, Andrews contemplates his purpose in life with respect to nature, specifically through the influence of Ralph Waldo Emerson.

Throwing my hat in the ring :) also I wanted to let y'all know my dear friend called this the pester look(punk jester) and I think that's very important to know <3
I'm also into bookbinding!! This is the first book I ever made, following some very rough tutorials on Instagram. Had a lot of fun making the closure, the long bead was made out of an air-dry clay that kept wanting to straighten out after I had twisted it :[
Back at the end of May I had the great privilege to attend the Malevolent Arkham PI Conference in Toronto with a dear friend of mine. Many attendees put together trinket trade items for the event, and I did as well!! This is one of my trinket items and the process of how I made it, as well as a look at one of the other items I brought with — commemorative clay coins with the Yellow Sign stamped on them
I forgot to post my magnum opus across my blogs so here it isssss
Based on the Pieta sculpture by Michelangelo. I think. Make sure to tap/click to look at details, I spent a long time on this only for various social medias to eat the quality
Kayne is the Tower — the great and terrible change, the destruction of all that is known to make room for a blank page. He's portrayed in front of Azathoth's Obelisk in Arkham, wearing Azathoth's grin and the wings he's fashioned from the skins of various Arthur Lesters. He's also posed referencing The Bat Woman by Albert Joseph Pénot, a painting popular with enjoyers of the occult.
This was actually the first in the series that I made! It was a wonderful chance to both draw Kayne for the first time and dip my toes into this blackout comic style, something that I've become rather fond of since trying it out here. I wanted to specifically capture this moment for the Tower because it's not just Kayne acting as the Tower(intending to destroy everything) but EXPERIENCING it as well — all of his own well-laid plans to take the place of Azathoth have been utterly destroyed, leaving him with - in his mind - only one option left. He was such a fascinating antagonist to follow while we had him.
John is Death — a slow and gentle change, evolution rather than true death, and has a much worse reputation than he deserves, even if he can be painful to endure at times. He's portrayed in the Dark World approaching the Bone Citadel, carrying a banner as the classic Rider-Waite Death card does; his depicts the Yellow Sign, torn as he no longer identifies himself as the King but still carried as he carries the memory of it, accepting who he's become without discarding the memory of who he once was.
This was a tricky one! I was unsure of what to do with the Dark World for a while, especially since it has such a varied landscape, but I ended up leaving this part of it as a sandy, ashy waste to focus on the cathedral and John. At some point in the future I'd like to revisit the Dark World and some of its horrors, but for now this satisfied me.
Can't believe I forgot to post these! This is one of a small series of tarot-inspired pieces I did :)
Arthur is the Chariot — relentlessly driven, focused in his goals. He has the tools he needs to achieve what he sets out to do. He's portrayed on the carriage used in S5 in England, lighting the way forward through uncertainty. At his side is Alia's slate with her message and in the distance Lilith circles relentlessly. Yellow and purple were picked for his main colors to connect to the entities who've sat in the passenger seat with him, Yellow/John and Lilith.
And for comedic purposes he's also John's chariot, in a way.
These pieces were originally for a gift exchange but they turned into a style experiment that I had a lot of fun with, and while I don't normally do comic-style blackout shading much I think it's a style I'll come back to at some point. This was the hardest one to plan for since I was having a hard time adapting the Rider-Waite style Chariot card to fit the vibe properly. Ultimately this is what I came up with and I cannot be happier with it.
Finally got around to making an Eridian OC!! This is Alfalfa Desperado, "Alfie", and they're a livestock farmer/"cowboy" on Erid. I saw a really neat headcanon that jobs around food would be kinda taboo since eating is a taboo, so I think they have a social status similar to a plumber or a trash collector — important service jobs, but maybe ones that aren't held as highly as other careers.
Alfie supplies food for the folks who take care of Grace, and they volunteered part of their land to help grow food for Erid's one and only human. When they found out that their career was considered cool at one point in human history - cool enough to dedicate movies and books to - they took great pride in introducing themself as a "cowboy" to Grace.
Their primary makeup is mookaite jasper with labradorite and gold inlays, and they have a xenonite shield-mount for dealing with storms and unruly livestock. I'll be doing a digital render later on!!
