Akechi is absolutely driven by jealousy because to him Joker makes no sense. In his eyes, Joker absolutely has the power to fight successfully on his own so why does he shackle himself down to a team? He has the same powers as Akechi and the same grudge towards Shido, so why doesn’t he use every resource available to him in order to further his own goals like Akechi did? Joker represents what Akechi could have been if he had allowed himself to trust others and that scares and enrages him more than anything else.

ren also grew to like having someone watch his back. he’s always taking care of other people (even said by ann and yoshizawa), sometimes u just need a snarky cat to protect u.

she’d made the right call, didn’t she? for what feels like the millionth time, she goes over it in her mind. first she’d put in a post with the Phansite, the next she’d been contacted by the admin who claimed to know someone with a direct line to the group. a meet and greet was set up since she hadn’t disclosed the target’s name and now she’s waiting. worrying. everyone says the Phantom Thieves weren’t just or were criminals but they helped people too. she needed that help. without it..she didn’t want to lose the only family member she had left.

       he keeps to himself as he walks, clutching his bag tightly. the usual form when going to meet someone in need of aid. this one was somewhat different, as a name wasn’t given on their site. with his friends on standby elsewhere, ren makes his presence known. softly, he asks,

“excuse me --- are you who i’m supposed to meet?”
