‘Sup. I’m back from my trip to NYC. My family is doing alright so that’s a relief.

I’ll continue to be hanging over on my personal ( @i-rusu ) while I’m still head over heels deep in Fire Emblem: Fates. Feel free to give me a poke over there. I promise I don’t bite.

As for roleplay stuff on this blog, I was going to try and start roleplaying with Eden and some of my characters but I can’t really muster the energy or motivation to do so when I already know for a fact that I probably won’t get any sort of response.

After playing FFXIV for almost two years, my interest in it has waned (due to this and for other personal reasons). I will still continue to play as I’m invested in the main scenario storyline but other than that, I might be sparse.

FFXIV has not been the worst of the fandoms I’ve been in but it certainly has felt like one of the most... clique-ish. I feel like I don’t have any hope of getting into roleplay unless I’m affiliated with one group or another, or friends with this person or that one. It is a draining experience, especially for someone like me who already has to overcome social anxieties whenever I want to reach out, only to get nothing in return.

It’s done a number on my self-esteem as a roleplayer. I’ve been doing this for 10 years and perhaps the size of the fandom contributes to it, but I’ve never felt so ignored.

i don’t want to clutter up this blog with my current fixation on fire emblem: fates so i’ll be hanging out on my personal blog mostly.

it’s @i-rusu if anyone is interested. it totally lacks ffxiv stuff though, and contains other stuff like fashion, art, and shitposts.

as an aside, i am going to be back from my family visit come thursday. i’m happy to report my grandma is stable, for those that i shared some personal strife with.
