“well, i mean, i guess anything is possible here ...” she murmured, shrugging lazily. “invent time-travel or something if you dislike people so much.”

“right! there have been plenty of times where i’ve embarrassed myself. there was the time i got stuck up a tree, then the time i couldn’t change back from my swan form for a week – i was really young then,” he said. “embarrassing stories are what make a childhood, i think.”

eivui giggled at his stories. “how’d you get down from the tree?” she asked, crinkling her nose in amusement. “exactly! embarrassing stories are just ... a part of growing up. a part of life.”

“mmhmm, i know that face, that –” she copied the expression, “face.” kirsa didn’t know much about the leaders, either. though her mother had wanted her to learn about them before she came here. “oh, uhh, there’s also…atlantis? atlantico? with the mermaids? and snow white and cinderella…wherever they live? oh, cinderellasberg! cinderella-berg?” she thought aloud. “i know that one because they have fashion,” she grinned. “wait, you’re designed to be evil?”

eivui gave a small pout, nodding. “she’s a meaner ...” she mumbled, crinkling her nose in disapproval. “oh, uh ... atlantica, i think it is? and snow white is in charmington and cinderella is in cinderellasberg, yeah!” she nodded. she was pretty sure that was correct, at least. “oh, there's also avalor and enchancia! though avalor isn’t, like, technically part of auradon? and i don’t know if enchancia is, either, but ...” she shrugged. “i only know these because my mama used to go on about them.” she gave a light laugh. “oh, yeah, it’s a thing ... it didn’t work or anything, i guess, but ...” she crinkled her nose. “all aliens have a superpower and --- and at the dance, i found out that mind is hypnosis, and ... yeah.”

“ ah, enough with the pout, small fry. ” sammy reached over, ruffling her hair. “ i was talking about the school work, kiddo. it’s killing me. i’m dead. i forgot what being in school was like. ugh. ” he groaned. “ but if the schoolwork don’t kill me, that pout definitely will. ”

eivui couldn’t help but giggle when her hair was ruffled, but she did her best to keep her pout in place. “schoolwork isn’t thaaat bad,” she said. though, truly, she seemed to always be complaining about school. her pout exaggerated even further. “that’s the point, sammy~” she reached out to grab his face in her hands. “give into the pouuut!”

“sammy, what do you mean?” eivui asked, already bringing out her infamous pout. “sammy, you’re spirit is in you. you’re not dead. don’t talk like you’re dead, sammy ---” she was ready to throw a level six temper tantrum, if need be.

Warren was clearly flattered to hear that she had nothing but positive things to say about him, although he tried not to make it too obvious. “Is that so? I don’t think anyone has ever said any good thing about me in a while.” he confessed with a chuckle. 

“really? nella had so many good things to say, so that’s kinda shocking!” she said with a giggle, crinkling her nose. “she told me that you two went to the dance together.” she smiled, humming softly.

“are the officials up in space as lame as they are on earth? literally, the only leaders i’ve seen who are actually unproblematic as fuck are my leaders. rio and freddie’s mom and dad were the best.” not every kingdom was without their problems, but kirsa had only rose-coloured glasses for her old king and queen. “well, clara’s still queen, queen mother maybe, and rio’s king now but still. why wouldn’t the grand council-hoo-hah see you in a positive light? you are positive light,” she said, incredulous. kirsa’s mouth opened as she heard what the b.r.b actually was, and she laughed at her own mistake. “ooooohhh, big red battleship! that sound much cooler.”

“kinda, yeah. i don’t know ... the grand councilwoman is the main one, and she’s ...” eivui made a face. “i don’t know much about auradon’s leaders and all --- i mean, of course, i’ve heard about the land of sweets’ leaders, and queen belle and king beast, but other than that?” she shrugged. she offered a small smile to kirsa. “because of my design. i as designed with malicious intent, i guess.” another shrug. “yeah, it’s pretty cool! it’s giant --- i’ve only been in it once, but yeah!”

“that still doesn’t explain it, but i’ll take your word for it. kids do plenty of weird things i can’t comprehend.” even though he was a child himself once. “i’m sure i have embarrassing stories like that, too.”

“true, true. kids are wild, i don’t understand,” she said, dramatically. “still, though, i think it’d be even wilder if someone didn’t have embarrassing stories like that, you know?” she briefly wondered if freddie had any embarrassing stories, and she made a mental note to ask him about it ( and to pout for days if simply asking didn’t work ).

“i’m more impressed that you were able to get it in there in the first place,” he said, smiling a little. “that must be a talent of some kind.”

eivui burst into a fit of giggles, scrunching up her nose. “i was just playing with it, and then, next thing i know, i’m crying because it’s stuck in my hair!” she smiled, shaking a handful of her hair. “it was horrible, but it’s so funny now.”

“oh, my god, same!” she grinned, bouncing up and down on her feet. “and throw in some other gummy animals there too, make a short play with them, bite off their heads –” kirsa laughed. as she listened, her eyebrows rose up. “ooh, alien government. dang, girl,” she gasped. “so you’re like an alien ambassador, aren’t you? so if i was gonna go up there, would i be an ambassador for earth? honestly, i’d be the best ambassador, i embody all the best parts of being human,” she grinned, even if she was part fae. sort of. she didn’t know what her mother was. “wait – your uncle was in charge of the ‘be right back’? – and, wait, grand councilwoman sounds super fussy, if this is gonna be too much trouble –”

eivui burst into a fit of giggles, bouncing up and down in her seat. “yes, yes! except, i don’t bite of their heads ---” she laughed, crinkling her nose. “i mean ... yeah? i guess ... kinda? the grand councilwoman kinda doesn’t ... see me in such a positive light, but yeah! --- and you would definitely be an ambassador for earth!” she exclaimed, giggling. “you would be the best ambassador in the universe!” she clapped her hands together excitedly. “... wait, what? no. not the ‘be right back’! the b.r.b. --- the big red battleship!” she laughed. “oh, no, no! don’t worry about it! i can totally take on the grand councilwoman if she gets fussy.” she held up her fists, but ultimately ended up giggling again.

Her words had quickly caught his attention and he found himself leaning in a bit. “Did she?” he asked. “All good things I hope.” he added with a chuckle, his attempt at covering up his enthusiasm. “Trust me, the pleasure is mine.” 

eivui smiled and nodded. “all great things!” she assured, giggling softly. “in fact, i’m not sure i’d ever heard nella say so many good things about anyone!” it was true. narella didn’t talk positively about most people, if anyone at all.

“the weapons.” he tapped the sword that hung off of his belt, making sure he didn’t scratch it. it was already worn enough from all the sparring he did. when she agreed to be his girlfriend, he let himself relax, even though there had been no reason for her to say no at this point. “well, of course. that goes without saying, doesn’t it?”

“i mean, i guess,” she giggled. eivui scrunched up her nose, reaching out to tap his sword, before pausing and looking up at him, as if asking approval to touch it. she smiled softly, leaning into him a bit more. “well, yeah, but i had to be sure.” she smiled, poking out her tongue at him.

“no, no, i can’t laugh, i’d feel bad if i laughed!” gabriel insisted. he was never the type to laugh at another’s misfortune, even if they said it was okay.

“but it’s funny!” eivui exclaimed, still giggling over it. “i mean, i couldn’t get the green slime out of my hair for weeks!”
