I donโt know if anyone made a parallel post for these two scenes together... at least I donโt remember so here you go...
I'm going in with the order of the nessian scene(chapter 15 acosf) but elriel scene(azrielโs bonus chapter) is in different order like it doesnโt follow the order of events in elriel scene...but the idea is the same. The language and the actions and the writing parallel each other.
1. Nesta and Elain being the ones that get closer
She took a step toward him. Cassian held his ground. So she took another step. Another. Until they were close enough that a heaving breath would have had her chest brushing his.
Elain shuddered, drifting closer. So close one deep breath would brush her breasts against his chest.
Nesta didnโt, couldnโt, move as Cassian leaned to whisper in her ear, โThe first time I saw that look on your face, you were still human. Still human, and I nearly went to my knees before you.โ
Her arousal drifted up to him, and his eyes nearly rolled back in his head at the sweet scent. He'd beg on his knees for a chance to taste it. But Azrielย just stroked her neck again.ย
โ His breath caressed the shell of her ear and she couldnโt stop her eyes from fluttering shut. His smile brushed against her temple.
Azriel's hand slid up her neck, burying in her thick hair. Tilting her faceย the way he wanted it. Elain's mouth parted slightly, her eyes scanning his before fluttering shut.ย ย
Until Cassian lowered his face an inch, and grazed the tip of his nose along her neck.
"I should go," Elain said, but made no move to leave.ย ย "Yes," he said, his thumb sweeping in long strokes along the side of her throat.ย
5. Cass and Azriel scenting Nesta and Elain
Beneath her hand, his chest heaved upward as he inhaled a great, greedy breath of her scent.

6. Just look at the same color highlighted parts... it is pretty much explains itself

8. This is the part that needs a bigger explaination. With Nessian their obstacle was nesta herself. Her trauma. Her problems. But with Elriel... the problem comes from outside. They both want each other but they are forbidden. It was not a mistake but because of Rhys Azriel said that... โforced himself to sayโ
She couldnโt get a breath down as she drowned in that stare. As low, sensitive parts of her tightened and began throbbing, her breasts becoming heavy and aching. His nostrils flared, scenting that, too. She couldnโt. She couldnโt do this to him. To herself. Couldnโt, couldnโt, couldnโtโ

Forced himself to say, "This was a mistake.โ She opened her eyes, hurt and confusion warring there before she whispered, "Iโm sorry." โYou don't-- Don't apologize,โ he managed to say. "Never apologize. It's I who shouldโฆโ He shook his head, unable to stand the bleakness he'd brought to her expression. "Goodnight.โย
9. Cassian and Azriel thinking about Nesta and Elain at night... thinking about their faces *wink wink*
Cassian whispered in her ear, โDo you know what Iโm going to think of tonight?โ A small sound must have come out of her, because he grinned as he stepped to the side. Let go of her hand. The absence of his warmth, his scent, was like a bucket of ice water. He smiled, nothing but wickedness and challenge. โIโm going to think of that look on your face.โ He took another step down the hall. โIโm always thinking of that look on your face.โ
He had only allowed himself these thoughts in the dead of night.ย Had only allowed his hand to fist his cock and think about her then, when even his shadows had gone to sleep. How that beautiful face might appear as he entered her, what soundsย she'd make.ย
