This is a new (only 14 months old, wow!) server for people that like all the rarepairs with APH Spain. Be it with canon characters or OCs.Ā

Where the subtitle of my blog comes from:
Out of all the music and poetry in the world, this 1992 piece from an iconic Spanish duo, is the one I identify with Antonio the most.Ā
Itās written from the perspective of a person that no matter the hardships (that affect him from the outside or, mostly, from theĀ inside), the bad luck, the state of the world, or the heartbreak, knows he will overcome it all and keep resisting, keep living on and bend but not break. Against all odds and expectations, and whether itās worth it or not.Ā
Which, more than anything, sums up the history of this country. In fact, it almost seems to me to have been written for it. Specially this part that seems to reference a certain XXth century event.Ā

When Rome asked him to, he obediently lifted his head, giving the old man a sheepish smile. Gosh, he looked so real...Ā

His calm attitude could be attributed to the fact that he still thought it all to be a dream, but he suddenly felt really small again, defenseless and needy.Ā āPapa...ā He mumbled into Romeās shoulder with feeble, barely audible voice.Ā

Well, he needed to approach Spain, but he didnāt want to do it in public lest her react negatively. So, he decided to wait till it was early in the morning, making his way to the manās bedside like he had done before, and sat beside him, moving some hair from his eyes and kissing his temple.Ā
āWake up.ā He said softly. Holding his cheek in one hand he caressed it with his thumb and smiled down at him. By the Gods he was excited to see those pretty eyes again, to hear him speak and to see how he feels about Rome after all this timeā¦ Would he be welcomed, or shunned? Time would tell.
Toni felt himself slowly drifting away from the dream he was having, turning to his side in his bed and mumbing something incomprehensible. That was when he felt the heat of another person next to him and the careful hand on his cheek.Ā
