After months of just listening to random picks from the soundtrack, I finally sat down and watched the full animatic complication of Epic the Musical.

The amount of hours N has spent sketching and drawing Uzi, overshadows any other type of art he’s made by a considerable degree.

After all, he wants to repeatedly practice this skill, so he needs a subject matter he doesn’t mind spending hours looking at and thinking about 💛💜

Uzi isn’t used to prolonged physical touch, which has led to N making the adorable discovery that if he massages her head and hair, she will quickly start getting drowsy and fall asleep in a matter of minutes. Only if she’s in a comfortable enough place, of course.

It becomes his way of initiating a “forced shutdown” of her whenever she’s been neglecting her sleep schedule.

Here's the drawing! I hope you like it! Not the best example but I'm very proud of it! I also threw in another head-canon I had for these 2! I head-canon that whenever Uzi and N are alone, N would be comfortable enough to take off his captain hat with Uzi and only with Uzi.

How I imagine some MD characters sleep (post-canon):

Uzi - Sprawled out on her back. I mean, we’ve seen this in one of the music video teaser images, but I’d go further as to say that she often tosses and turns in her sleep. She does this less if N is with her, as she’d be cuddling him like a koala. It makes her feel more settled.

N - Like a log. He’s quite energetic in his waking life, but he’s a very heavy sleeper. He lies either on his side or back. His sleep is usually enhanced if he’s cuddling Uzi.

V - Whether she sleeps on a bed or hanging by her tail depends on how she feels. If she feels normal and unstressed, she’ll hang by her tail. If she’s greatly distressed, then she will sleep on a bed, typically in the foetal position, as it makes her feel more protected.

J - Similar deal as V, although she will more often hang by her tail, even if she feels distressed. If she wishes to sleep on the ground, then she will take up the coffin position as it gives her a sense of neatness and efficiency. It also works while she still lives in the pod, as space is more cramped in there.

When going to a concert, it would appear that Uzi will always draw the short end of the stick, as she has a shorter height than nearly everyone else in the colony, preventing her from properly seeing the musicians.

In reality, she gets a better view than anyone else, as N almost always tags along with her, and is more than willing to prop her up on his tall shoulders.

It makes her feel very special.

“At his Limit”

Here’s a more experimental piece that I kind of lost motivation for over time. Still, didn’t want it go to waste.

I was going for N losing his patience over a particularly tricky adversary, but now it kinda just looks as if he’s having a breakdown lol

(The Child Born from Vampire and Void Au - Lore)

Isaac’s full name is Isaac Howitzer Doorman. The middle name comes from the artillery gun, and it was Uzi who came up with the idea after doing some research on human artillery when designing new guns for the WDF.

When she and N had Isaac, they both agreed that the name had a nice ring to it, and N was happy to do it since he saw it as a fun middle name that matched Uzi’s gun name.

At this point in the Murder Drones fandom, I’ve seen plenty of future/fankid aus, and a lot of them are great and inspiring!

Well, I’d like to throw my own in here now! Introducing…

“The Child Born from Vampire and Void”

This au stars the only son of Uzi Doorman and Serial Designation - N, Isaac Doorman. It’ll be a fanfic spilt into three parts following his childhood, teenage years and adult life, containing stories filled with fun, heart and horror!

It’ll be a little while longer before the first chapter comes out, but in the meantime, I’d be happy to answer some questions and give some fun facts about Isaac and his world! This is mainly just an announcement that alongside GftG, I’ve got another story in the works. This is all for fun after all!

Here’s a headcanon I’ve got for Nuzi in terms of if they ever had a kid. And it’s that they’d both have varying levels of initial competency as parents depending on what stage of life their kid is at.

From the pillbady to about pre-teen stage, N takes to it more naturally. He would have a very gentle and doting nature that would be perfect for whatever little tike they’ve got. As they grow, he’d also make sure to teach them about appropriate behaviour and how to emotionally regulate themselves, while also leaving room for their kid to make mistakes.

While Uzi could help in all of these aspects, she generally struggles a bit more, mainly because, simply put, she never really had a mother figure growing up, so she’s not really sure how to act like one. She’s definitely read up on it and taken late advice from her parents, but she hasn’t seen it for herself, so she ultimately needs to figure it out as she goes.

During the teenager and young adult phases however, it completely changes. The heightened emotions, angst and drama of the teenage experience is something that Uzi is all too familiar with. She quickly solidifies herself as a strong role model for their child, helping them navigate their increasingly complex world, teaching them to keep a cool head while also not taking any garbage from anyone.

Now, I’m not saying N is useless in this stage. But here’s the thing: from the show, it’s implied that he just straight up, never had a childhood, and his existence after being salvaged was just working in the oppressive Elliot manor. He never truly got to experience that transition from kid to teenager, and so he’s a bit unfamiliar to it. It takes some time for him to adjust, but with Uzi’s advice, he acclimates to it soon enough.

(P.S. This headcanon is inspired by how I’m thinking of bringing my Nuzi fankid au back! I’ll probably bring back the old posts on it by reblogging reblogs of them. My mind has been buzzing with ideas for it, and I want to bring them to fruition this time)

If Uzi does something even as simple as scratching under his chin, he will heavily lean into it until he nearly topples both of them over.

When he finds a copy of it, N loves listening to Mr Blue Sky. He finds it post-canon, and he specifically likes to listen to it because it really encapsulates the joy he finds in his new life, where he’s got friends and loved ones, with a roof over his head and easy access to food.

He gets Uzi to listen to it one day, and although not quite her taste in music, she still enjoys it and finds it catchy.

Since you’ve allowed asks about MD ships, I was wondering what are your opinions of good old Nuzi?

I know this might be boring, but I adore these two to no end, so I’d love to hear your overall thoughts on them!

NUZI!!

I freaking adore this ship in every possible way. They're best friends, they're partners, they're lovers, they're so close you sometimes can't separate the two from each other.

Honestly, they're just. One of my favorite ships of all time. They're So Good I find anything that makes them keep being enemies hard to get through. Just AAA they're so sweet.

I have so many headcanons for them I could go on for ages aaaaaa

N picking up Uzi started as just him being so overwhelmed with his affection for her, he couldn't hold himself back from keeping her as close as possible and shaking her around a bit. He felt horrible the first time he did it because Uzi flinched and just kinda stared at him for a while in shock, before she slowly admits she didn't hate it and didn't mind if he needed to do it again. The second time he does this, Uzi is a lot more prepared but is still shocked he even wanted to hug her. N is just so happy she hugged him back.

N's purrs are always the loudest around Uzi, and especially when they're just hanging out together.

Uzi and N LOVE flying together. Even before Uzi had wings, he'd take her up high to explore the night sky, carrying her on his back. When teaching Uzi to fly with her wings, N helps her get into the air the same way.

Post series Uzi does take note of what N is into, and while she won't do it in public, she does give him a lot of gifts for his room. She's the one who found the dog slippers.

N doesn't understand anything too mechanical Uzi does, he's tried but being a mechanic isn't in his future because it just doesn't click in his mind. But he does know enough to pick up extra parts Uzi's looking for, and he can do smaller/very simple repairs.

Uzi and N will constantly wake up with nightmares so bad post series that they'll get up and need to find everyone who died in their dreams— need to check up on them and ensure they're safe and sound and nothing will calm them until they find them. And a lot of them are about the duo's encounter with Cyn that ended horribly, and they'll just grab onto each other and won't let go.

They are so terrified and insecure of their relationship going more at first. For so long they didn't have anyone even remotely willing to throw them a bone, both probably thinking the actual ideas of romance going further than simply just having a crush on someone was the absolute most they'd ever get. They don't know what to do and have no real experience in this, and even old human romance shows or whatever aren't helpful because they Literally saved the universe together. They're close as close can be and oh god what if letting them in closer just makes them realize everything everyone said before was right and they'll dump me when they know, and then I'll be alone—

And yet they don't back down. They love each other so much it hurts when the other thinks they'll leave over something so small or something they're already working on and they're already proud of that, or worse something they just adore about the other.

They're both INCREDIBLY cuddly with each other. N and Uzi are both very touch starved, and while N is taking to it like a fish to water, Uzi's so unused to it that the touch hurts sometimes. She'll just begin to shake and won't want to let go, but it's just so overwhelming she can't help but sob. N moves away the first few times, thinking he must've somehow hurt her, but when she calms down they talk about it each time.

N LOVES having his hair messed with. And Uzi will dramatically grab him and tell him his hair is just so messy and she needs to fix it so he's "presentable" to the public. It honestly looks so bad from an outside perspective, until you notice N's tail wagging so fast you almost can't see it anymore.

When N is laying down somewhere when Uzi is nearby, if she looks at him for longer than a second, his tail will start wagging. There could be no change in his facial expression, but the tail will always give his happiness away.

I greatly enjoyed making this piece. I think I’ve finally figured out how to properly make Uzi’s eye gradient. Plus the contrast of purple and yellow is always fun to do.
