@electurk starter!
Hanging around in densely populated areas seemed like the best way for Cloud to study in the people in the city. He didn’t even need to converse with anyone; simply observing his surroundings was enough. Although he had met up with some familiar faces, and they gave him some good info, there were some things he wanted to see for himself. How did the people in this city operate?; that was one of the questions he had.
Back in Midgar, the pubs and bars were always the best place to find local information. So Cloud made his way to the Red Light District of Cotes, then settled himself within one of the bars. He ordered himself a drink, and tried to relax. …However, he wasn’t able to relax for long, because another familiar face popped up into view, and Cloud recognized him immediately.
“Reno? Is that you?” He hadn’t even gotten to sip his drink yet!
Maybe it was the irony of it. Seeing that same solemn, lost and oddly stubborn face with a familiar mess of blond placed generously on top just had something bubbling up inside, something that left the Turk in an abrupt laugh. Should have held back, truthfully, because a laugh and a mouthful of whiskey certainly left a lingering burn in the back of the throat.
A shake of the head was all Reno gave himself to recover, moving away from his seat to saddle up on a new one beside an oh-so-familiar ‘friend’. Half-emptied glass was brought along with him, placed before him while Reno made himself comfortable with an offered lean for that added touch of a burst personal bubble.
“Weeell, look what the cat dragged in! And I didn’t even need to invite ya.”
An elbow protrudes, offering a few shoves against the others person. How long could he milk this ‘buddy buddy’ shtick. “Good to know ya didn’t go forgettin’ my face, right?”
