the thing with kas is that they see one (1) singular piece of criticism against a/ang and snowball it into zks collectively calling him a rapist or an abuser. the same way we can say one good thing about zuko and he’s suddenly a goody two shoes pacifist who’s never done anything wrong. the same way we call out the misogyny in katara’s writing and suddenly we don’t understand her character at all and we’re stupid self inserts for even trying to do so. it’s all black and white with them. like you genuinely can’t exist as a mild zk liker here without being jumped for it by their rabid attack dogs and they wonder why we’re so defensive

You're so right. I feel like antis don't understand that criticism does not always equal hate/ dislike. I criticize Aang's arc because I think the show would be better if his story had ended slightly differently. I criticize Mai's arc for the same reason. But (almost) every zutara anti out there is like "I hate zutara, Katara hated Zuko, you guys suck!!!" like petulant seven-year-olds on the playground.
