AUDITIONS!
Elemental Youth Dance Company will be holding auditions for new members aged 14-24 years on Tuesday 6th March 2012 from 6pm until 7pm at The Priory City of Lincoln Academy dance studio, Skellingthorpe Road, Lincoln, LN6 0EP Rehearsals will consist of a contemporary technique class, followed by work on creative projects, the first of which will hopefully be showcased at Lincoln Drill Hall this summer. Classes will be held in the dance studio at The Priory City of Lincoln Academy, Skellingthorpe Road, Lincs and will run from 5:30pm until 7pm every Tuesday The audition will be workshop-based and all applicants should wear loose-fitting, comfortable clothing that is easy to move around in. Elemental Dance is a new Youth Dance company based near Lincoln, Lincolnshire. All dances are choreographed by Sarah-Jayne Hayes, specialising in contemporary dance, and the company currently comprises of 6th form students from Branston Community Academy.
The aim of the company is to get the youth of Lincolnshire into contemporary dance and prepare them for performance work in the professional dance world.
Alongside weekly technique classes, there will also be day-long workshops and performance projects for members to get involved in.
Entry to the company is by audition and weekly fees will apply for successful candidates
