Hey Elena, I’m Jonas. It is nice to finally properly meet you. Your mom talks so highly of you.
Could you pour a glass for me?
More than what she’s told me about you.
Cheers.

“Maybe he introduced them to each other.” It had been a couple years since he was involved in mischief around the house. The last prank he pulled was on Adam’s now wife Juliet. Noah was excited to get his hands dirty again. "It doesn’t matter either way lets go pull out the big guns.“
“I know that face! You have something, what’s the plan?”
“Weird. I’m surprised she would bring someone new to the wedding.” Noah had only met a couple of Paige’s boyfriends and one girlfriend. He was curious how he had never heard of this guy and even more curious that Elena hadn’t. “You’re pulling out the big guns if we get Julie involved. That girl can be very dangerous.”
“They already seem way too chummy, your dad seems to like him though,” Elena said looking over at their parents. “But she hadn’t even introduced me yet, so I’m sure something is wrong with him. So yes I need danger Julie.”
“A date, is it somebody we know? Has my dad tried to intimidate them yet? That is always entertaining to watch.” Noah knew how Elena felt about her mother’s romantic relationships. He could not relate because his parents had been together long before his birth and Noah was confident they would never separate. Seeing his mom or dad dating other people would be too weird. “If you really don’t like the date we can always enlist the young ones to pull a prank.”
“I’ve never met him or even heard of him before,” Lena said with crossing her arms. It’s not that she didn’t want her mother to be happy but just the thought of her dating rubbed her the wrong way. “Lets find Julie, that little scientist has always amazed.”
“I did - it felt weird. I think my nerves are frayed by all of this wedding stuff.” Noah had been running around helping out with every little thing all weekend, he had barely gotten sleep. “Is your mom here now too?”
Elena let out a giggle, she knew everyone in the Leroy house was doing their best and running on empty to make this wedding perfect. It seemed the work was well done since the happy couple went through their “I Do’s” without a hitch. “Yeah, she brought a date,” Elena said with eye roll.
“Abe told me he wasn’t sure whether or not you would show up. Hey. Welcome to the wedding of the year.”
“Did you just call your father Abe?” Elena asked with a grin. “Thanks, wouldn’t miss it for the world.”
I like playing intense women because as women we are not simple. As much as the world wants us to be, we aren’t.
Yeah. I know. Let me try to think of something better. You should try honesty. Just tell her how you feel and why you want to do it.
Definitely. Getting out of high school is a dream come true.
I could be honest, it is supposed to be the best policy. Hope she understands, and if not I can just move in with you guys.
Well I mean we all knew it was going to happen. Did you want me to come to that?
Mom college sucks and I’m dropping out?
That wouldn’t even work on your parents.
Are you excited for grad?
So how does one explain to their mother they don’t think they’ll be attending college again for awhile?
You’re taking a break so I guess we shouldn’t talk about it. Was your mom excited to have you home?
That's one way to put it. I don't wanna talk about it, you want to get out of here?
College isn’t for everybody. I mean more people drop out of college a year than they do out of high schools. Although I think you should stay, try to push through it.
I don't know anymore.
I should have called. Sorry.
Hey. I was missing you too much and I had to come see you. How has your week been?
No it's okay. I missed you, too.
Stressful, which is why I came home. I'm seriously rethinking this college shit. How was your work been?
Yeah.
Did I interrupt plans or something? I think it’s my parents job to interrogate me.
No- no. I just wasn't expecting you. Hi.
I’m taking a personal day.
So you're skipping?
