In your light, I learn to love
Pairing: (ElliexReader) (AbbyxReader)
Summary:You and Abby are in a messy relationship. And the relationship reaches a point when you meet a girl at a party one night that changes your perspective of your girlfriend.

Part one
𝄞₊𖥔˚♪
Content warnings: cheating, “apologize” sex, strap usage (r!receving), brief mention of weed..
A/N: finally part twoooo. I promise next parts are going to be all cutesy no more dread and heartbreak❤️🩹. Anyways show this some love so I have motivation to start writing part three.
I think I’m going to join you guys.
As you stepped inside, your phone buzzed with a new text from Ellie, the screen lighting up with her message.
"Great! I’ll see you tonight then. ;)"
A flame of excitement coursed through you. You decided not to mention to Abby that you were planning to leave, let alone that you were going to see Ellie. After all, she rarely shared her plans, often disappearing from the house in a hurry. The question of what to wear tonight began to cloud your mind, sending you into a flurry of indecisive thoughts. What kind of vibe were you going for? A charming dress? A casual outfit? Or something sexy? No, not sexy. Even though Abby had hurt you, your loyalty to her remained strong. No matter the heartache, your feelings for Abby had never wavered, and you couldn't imagine looking at another woman the way you did at her.
When the time came to decide on an outfit, you chose to let go of your worries and throw something together that felt like you—something vibrant and unique. You’ve always loved fun-colored or printed tights, the kind that made a statement, while Abby favored the simplicity of plain fishnets—or none at all. She had an almost possessive fascination with your legs, wanting to display them for herself. Abby would often lay your legs on her lap, admiring them as if they were her most treasured possession. She would insist that wearing bright or distracting patterns drew too much attention, saying, “I want to be the only one looking at them.” It was a strange mix of flattery and confinement that would always leave you torn. Abby had always influenced your style over the years, as if she had taken the reins of your wardrobe. The thought of it stung; she always preferred you in specific clothes and would react if you chose something she disapproved of.
You slipped into bright blue tights that hugged your legs, layering a grungy pair of distressed shorts over them. It wasn’t anything too outrageous, but a pit formed in your stomach, a nagging sense that you were crossing some invisible line. Yet, beneath that unease, there was a flicker of freedom, a whisper of the person you used to be—the vibrant self that existed before Abby entered your life.
To complete your look, you chose a deep purple shirt that matched the purple eyeshadow you had carefully applied earlier. Around your neck and wrists, you stacked an assortment of necklaces and bracelets that jingled softly with every movement, something Abby often critiqued. As you stood in front of the mirror, taking in this version of yourself that felt so familiar yet so far away, you were abruptly jolted back to reality by an unwelcome sound: the crunch of tires on gravel as the car you and Abby shared rolled into the driveway.
When Abby walked in, you met her at the bottom of the stairs, heart racing. Immediate concern gripped you as you caught sight of the dark purple bruises marring her neck and collarbone, stark against her skin. It felt like a weight settling in your chest, and tears threatened to well in your eyes.
“Abby?” you called softly, your voice barely above a whisper as you stepped toward her, each footfall heavy with dread.
She looked surprised to see you, as if she wouldn’t have been upset if you had chosen to leave before she came home. “Oh, hey,” she said with an awkward chuckle, her eyes darting to your face as she became aware of your gaze lingering on the bruises. Quickly, she tugged at her shirt collar, attempting to shield her actions, but you couldn’t hold back. You reached out, grabbing her hand and pulling at the edge of her shirt to get a clearer view.
“So this is what you’ve been doing all day while accusing me of being with someone?” you challenge, your eyes narrowing. “Real rich, Abby,” you declare, jabbing your finger firmly into her shoulder. “Real fucking rich.”
Without warning, she grabs your wrist, holding it in place as her lips crash against yours. You’re caught off guard, but despite the anger coursing through you, you find yourself kissing her back, unable to help it. She slides her hands down your waist, stopping at your thighs, squeezing tightly before lifting you, your legs instinctively wrapping around her waist.
Abby positions you on the bed, laying you back confidently, your lip gloss smudged. She looms over you, effortlessly undoing her belt with one hand while using the other to sweep aside the strands of hair that have fallen into her face.
You're on your stomach, face smoched into the unmade bed beneath you. Abby has her hands on your ass, spreading you, getting a better view.
“Fuck” she says in a raspy, low voice, whispering to herself. You don't react when the rubber tip of her strap teases your entrance. All you can think about is an auburn girl with a blurred face. It's not until the first thrust of the strap that you can see the girl's face clearly.
Ellie.
Soft moans escape your mouth as you squeeze your eyes shut, gripping the sheets between your fingers. The pace picks up, and so does the heavy breathing in the room. The sound you're making and the air around the room are straight pornographic- A blow is placed on your left cheek. Something you should've been upset about with the countless times you've brought it up to her, but you only moan louder. Because it's not about your imagination behind you. It's Ellie.
Every moral you've ever had about you and Abby's relationship is out the window and gets pushed even further out with every thrust.
A sudden realization crashes into your mind, harsh and undeniable. Abby. She’s fucking you, and you’re faced with the undeniable evidence—the hickeys adorning her neck, a signature from another girl. Not just any girl, but Mel. You had suspected something was amiss for a while, but you had clung to the hope that your loyalty and love would be enough to hold her attention. Clearly, that hope was misguided.
A surge of heat courses through your body, igniting a mixture of anger and disgust that makes you jolt. Abby’s rhythm has slowed, her energy strained. Oh, poor Abby. Thinking her so-called “apology” sex has somehow soothed the situation. She collapses onto the bed beside you, panting and glistening with sweat, but you remain frozen, staring at her as tears stream down your face, soaking into the fabric of the sheets.
“Fuck, you’re so hot. You ready for me?” she says with that smirk, completely ignoring your looks.
The room falls into an awkward silence, heavy and thick, until you disrupt it by standing up and hastily grabbing your bottoms from the floor—the only items she bothered to remove during your intimate encounter.
“Hey, hey, where are you going?” Abby asks, sitting up, her expression a mix of confusion and surprise.
“I’m going out,” you reply, your voice shaky as you struggle to pull up your tights, followed by your shorts.
“What about me?” she scoffs, her tone dripping with entitlement. “And there’s no way you’re going anywhere dressed like that,” she adds, that infuriating smirk still plastered across her face.
Your heart races as you turn towards her, a hint of disbelief coloring your demeanor. “Is all you can think about yourself?” You step closer, your confidence rising in the wake of your emotions. “You’re an asshole, and I don’t know why I’ve put up with it all this time.” Towering over her, you allow your feelings to flow. “Actually, no, I do know why. You made everything my fault. You turned your mistakes into mine. You were perfect, and I was always the problem, right?” Your voice is cold and unyielding, each word laced with the weight of years spent in her shadow. It feels cathartic, releasing all the hurt and frustration you’ve endured.
“What are you talking about—” she begins, but her words are abruptly cut off as the ringtone of your phone on the bed beside her pierces the silence. It reads “Ellie.” She reaches for your phone, flipping it around to show you the screen. “Are you fucking serious?”
“Oh, Abby, please. You do not get to be upset,” you reply, a bitter chuckle escaping your lips.
Her face flushes crimson. “Get the fuck out,” she demands first in a low, trembling voice and then again, louder and more aggressive. “Mel, get the fuck out.”
“Mel?” you echo, taken aback by her slip.
You both fall silent, realizing her mistake. “Baby—” she starts, trying to salvage the moment.
You snatch your phone back from her hand. “Don’t call me,” you stated firmly. And without looking back, you're out of the house and headed down your neighborhood street, shoes in hand, determined not to waste any more time in that house. As you walk, your heart aches, and then your phone rings. “Ugh, Abby,” you assume, ready to ignore it. But before you can, something compels you to answer—not Abby, but someone far better.
“Hello?” you say, trying to keep your voice steady.
“Hey, it’s Ellie! Well, duh, who else would be calling you from my account, haha,” she responds cheerfully. When your silence persists, she continues, “Yeah, sorry, that was lame. Anyway, I was just wondering if you needed the address to the gathering tonight.”
“Oh, right…” You trail off, momentarily lost in thought. You glance around, realizing the sun is setting, and you have no vehicle with which to reach your destination. There’s no way you’re going back home to grab the car.
“Don’t tell me you forgot,” she teases, her tone half-laughing, half-disappointed.
“No, of course not! Um, I was actually wondering if you could pick me up. I know it’s short notice, sorry.” You stop at a street corner, attempting to figure out your bearings.
“I’d love to, but I’m not sure how I’d feel about having Abby in my car,” she giggles, lightening the mood.
“Oh, Abby won’t be there,” you assure her.
“Really? Abby is letting her girl come with me? Alone?” she asks, her skepticism evident.
“Yeah, about that.” You hesitate, feeling the weight of the moment. “ Me Abby and I are done.”
The words slip from your lips like a long-awaited confession, and Ellie’s heart stutters in her chest. “Oh wow, I’m so sorry to hear that… Can I ask what happened?” she asks, concern etched in her voice. In that moment, the fragile facade of strength you had been holding onto begins to crumble, and tears threaten to spill over, shimmering with raw emotion. The dam breaks, and with it, the pent-up pain that has weighed heavily on your heart pours. Ellie speaks, her voice steady yet comforting, “Where are you? I’m on my way,”
It's dark outside when you see two headlights approaching you from a distance. It's probably around 9:30 when Ellie finally pulls up. Looking at you through the passenger seat, then waving you in. The gust of warm air from Ellie's warmed car as you swing the door open sends prickles down your exposed skin. your collarbones Your thighs. Yet somehow the warmth reaches non-exposed portions of your body upon laying eyes on the girl in the driver's seat. She's wearing a pair of distressed jeans and a white button-up shirt that she rolled up to her mid forearm. Her hair was tucked into a half ponytail with fallen face framing pieces adorning her face. She has her arm thrown lazily on the steering wheel, her finger tapping along to the music dancing around the car.
"Hey, you're shy. You're sitting in the car with your bag draped on your lap. ellie dosnt relpiy imedetly. She's too busy looking at you. Looking at how good you look. Even with your makeup slightly smudged, she thinks you look so effortlessly pretty. She's not sure if it's the joint she smoked before meeting, but something is different from the night before.
"Hey," she checks her blind spot before pulling out. The drive is silent. The awkward kind, so Ellie interrupts it. " So you and Abby are uh- done?" a pause " like done done?" she looks over at you. Your knees are pressed together, trying to keep any and all emotions contained."
"Yeah, we're done." Your voice is firm, direct.
"shit, m'sorry," she gives a soft expression. Her hand creeps up the center console and onto your thigh, rubbing comforting swipes, when she stops. "It wasn't cause you were coming with me tonight, was it?" her face now a worried expression. Her brows furrowed.
“No, no.” You pause. A deep breath. “This has been a long time coming.” Your hands are sweating. The flesh around your nail is raw from the anxiogenic nail biting.
“How so” she’s genuinely curious. Her eyes face forward as she drives down a dirt road. You don’t respond to Ellie’s question. You’re trying to figure out what you should say. What should you tell and what should you leave out? “Oh, I see, sorry” Again her brows knit and made that empathetic pouty face. It’s driving you insane.
“No, it’s nothing” you quickly blurt out. Not wanting her to feel bad for her question.” We just aren’t(and we’re never) compatible” the truth but not the entire story. “And about time we go our separate ways”. You say in an uncertain tone. She can’t tell if you’re trying to convince her or yourself. You look to catch her eye once you finish but hers are already waiting. Eyes widening. She’s reading you. Take in every muscle in your face. You break the intimidating eye contact and chew on your bottom lip.
“You’re leaving something out.” She relaxes into her seat. Legs spread further and her head fell to lean on the headrest. All while keeping her eyes on you. She looked so casual while you're freaking out over the fact that she can see right through you. You can't see your face, but if you could you know it would be bright red. A new shade of red.
“Sorry?” You ask.
She clears her throat “I said ‘you're leaving something out’. You’re lying.” She looks at you. Again eyeing you up and down. ”Your hair's a mess as well as your clothes. It doesn’t seem like it was a peaceful split on both parties' terms.” You’re not painfully aware of the rip you have in your tights, just above your knee. You're rocked out of your thoughts when the jolt of the car coming to a stop grabs your attention. “Look you don’t have to tell me, but I did come and pick you up AND Abby’s my ‘ enemy ‘ so maybe you kinda owe me.” She teases a smile from ear to ear plastered on her face. She’s grabbing a small pencil bag-sized bag out of her center console and opening the door. You watch her as her jeans ride dangerously low while getting out of the car. She peeks her head in “c‘mon”
You’re parked in a parking lot that if there weren’t a few other cars spread out within it looks just like a dirt square in what looks like the middle of nowhere. There are trees all around with a break at the other side of the lot where a path leads to a glowing orange light.
Ellie meets you at the passenger door, opening it.” What are you waiting for?” Her hand out out for you to grab. A vein protruding right at the base of her palm leading up her forearm. Her long, indistinctive-toned finger, inches away from your face. You hardly do any thinking before you grab her hand and step out.
“Where are we?” The chilled air nips at your nose. The moonlight shines down just enough to illuminate the lot you’re walking across. You now wish you had worn something more covering.
“A buddy’s.” She drags out the last part mischievously. She's pulling you now. Her hand is firmly around your wrist. You're tripping over your clunky boots as you make your way down the path, and around the tree corner to see a huge fire pit with people scattered around it as well as around the fallen tree people are using as seating.” Let’s get you warmed up girl”
You don’t protest because you ARE cold. A thought dawns. “Wait were you serious about what you said about my hair being a mess?”
She giggles, takes the palm of her hand, and brushes your hair down. ”You look perfect“
“No, no.” You pause. A deep breath. “This has been a long time coming.” Your hands are sweating. The flesh around your nail is raw from the anxiogenic nail biting.

A/N A little sneak peek at part 2 of In your light, I learn to love. Previously named “night out”. I’m finally back to writing and I didn’t realize how much I missed it. I hope to get this out in the next upcoming week, hopefully a nice 5k word chapter. I’ve thought of a lot of great and fun things for this fic and I’m having so much fun writing it.

Summary:You and Abby are in a messy relationship. And the messy relationship reaches it point when you meet a girl at a party one night that changes your perspective of your girlfriend.
You were sat at a party with your legs thrown over your girlfriend's lap, picking at the fresh manicure on your nails. You weren't particularly involved with the conversation going around you. only being allowed to add a few words before you were interrupted again. bored, you taped your girlfriend on the shoulder letting her know you were going to get a drink. she wasn't paying enough attention to even notice you had gotten up, too deep in the conversation. Abby wasn't much of the romantic type. you didn't feel like what you two had was much of a relationship. it seemed more like a title.
you move past guests, making your way from the living room to the kitchen. you gaze and the compilation of glass bottles sitting on the counter. you weren't much of a drinker but you thought you'd take up the offer of free alcohol at a boring party where your girlfriend would hardly have a conversation with you. you pick up an unlabelled bottle giving it a smell before pouring some into the cup you held.
"Whatcha got there," a voice says. it was raspy, low, mysterious... You turn around to see an unfamiliar auburn-haired girl in a flannel. her sleeve being pulled up just enough for her rough arms to display a tattoo, a butterfly? a bug? you stop yourself mid-thought to the realization you've been staring at her hands a little too long. your eyes meet hers in a flash. in hopes, she didn't catch you gazing.
" oh! Um, I'm not sure" you stutter over your words of the unexpected conversation. "It was unlabeled." You shrug, looking at the red solo cup in your hands.
"You just going around drinking unmarked things" she teases, walking around you, almost circling you like a shark in water. before you knew she was grabbing your drink and taking a gulp. she scrunches her face "Oh no, you won't like this"
you scoff "How would you know what I like" You take the cup from her hand, taking a much smaller gulp than she did. it burned going down your throat, making you gag.
the strange girl chuckles before smashing down the rest of the cup "See? What do you like?" she asks. her eyes are sweet. Her face flustered, clearly tipsy.
"I don't know. I'm not much of a drinker. Maybe something fruity? Not as strong" She nods as she scours the drink. adding things to the cup. She was so swift with it. She looks as if she's making a potion. She hands you the drink, a big grin on her face, clearly proud of her creation. you take a hesitant sip, your face lighting up competently. " This is great! You really good at this" You take down another sip.
The girl shrugs with a wide grin on her face "I've never seen you around these parties before" she leans on the counter, her eyes looking at the shine in your eye to the rip on your fishnets just below your knee.
her gaze made you feel as if you were to melt. crumble right under her stare. "Yeah," your eyes wander off to search for your girlfriend in the crowd of people, just off to your right. " I don't usually attend parties, especially these ones but my girlfriend convinced me to go just to ignore me half the night" you scoff, realizing that you were talking shit about your girlfriend to a random girl you met not even five minutes ago. " m'sorry" you face falls into your palm as a wave of embarrassment rolls over your body "Didnt mean to dump that on you like that"
"No, don't apologize. quite alright" She hardly lets you finish before she was reassuring you... something Abby sure never did." She sounds like a pain. I wouldn't let a pretty girl like you out of my site, especially at a party like this" she chuckles. her voice becoming deeper, sweeter.
"Eh, she's not quite all that bad as I made her seem" You take another sip from your now almost empty cup. "Well" you lift off the counter "I should be getting back. Oh, and thank you for a drink" you smile. not sure if you really wanted to leave or if it was just the socially acceptable thing to do. the strange girl made you feel safe. the way she talked so effortlessly to you. the way she seemed she really enjoyed the conversation made a pain grow in your heart. a desperate feeling of wanting that from Abby. "I'll see you around?" you take a step " I never got your name strange girl" you smile
" Ellie" Ellie... Ellie. the name sparked something in your mind. it sounded familiar but you could catch the thought floating in your head. "And you" As soon as the name rolled out of your mouth Ellie's mind clicked. "You Abbys girl aren't you?" she laughs like she couldn't believe it.
"yeah? you know her or something?" Your eyebrow perks as you try to spark your brain again to not be rude if you met her before.
"You could say that" she rubs the back of her neck "We had some... conflict in the past but that's all just history now" It clicked. you remember Abby saying something about how they had "girl trouble" in high school or whatever.
you smile once more before giving her a nod and making your way back into the living room. you find Abby to be in the exact spot you left her in "Abby" you giggle as you get comfy next to her
"What's up" she turns her head but her eyes never break contact with the conversation. you rub circles into her arm.
"Here" you push your drink into her chest" Try this it's Sooo good" you smile, sweet giggles rolling off your words. an act that would've put any other girl in a grave. But not Abby...
"Not right now babe" She pushes the drink back to you. the excitement you had suddenly faded.
"OK," you say under your breath, taking a sip of your drink. you scan the room, not sure what you are looking for but you find it. Ellie was sitting across the room sitting on a sofa laughing. She was preoccupied with a conversation. her hands lay along her thighs as she manspread on a loveseat. her long fingers fidgeting at the hem of her jeans.
Your boredom became unbearable. your hand became fidgety and the room you were in became intensely hot. your hair clinging to the back of your neck, pricks of heat rose up your thighs. By now the party died down. As more people left you felt the room cool. the kitchen had cleared and the empty drink in your hand was enough of a push to get up and stumble your way to the counter. most of the bottles had been picked through and you couldn't seem to make any recognition of the bottles Ellie used for your concoction earlier, most being empty. not long after you left the group, Ellie followed.
"You come back for another one of my extortionary drinks" Ellie walks up behind you. Huge smirk on her face.
"Nah, I think I'm done for the night" you laugh as you fill your cup under the tap "Parties cleared up quite a bit, huh?" You push yourself up onto the counter.
"Yeah, parties like these don't last very long" she laughs into her cup. the room now filling with unbearable silence. "Hey, I don't mean to overstep or anything but" she pauses, Then a scoff escapes her mouth "Never mind," an embarrassed grin follows her face.
"what! no, you can't" Your expression was filled with curiosity." You can't leave me on a cliffhanger" you laugh, eager to know what she was waiting to say.
"I'm not leaving you on a cliffhanger" she stands from leaning on the counter "There was nothing to say in the beginning" She laughs at how eager you are.
" OH MY GOD. You liar!" You and Ellie's conversation had become louder and louder over time, catching more people's attention. eventually catching Abby's attention. "You're such a tease." you giggle. covering your mouth with your freshly manicured hand. trying to hide the toothy smile across your face.
"Williams," a stern voice says from behind you. Ellie's mouth seems to morph into an even bigger grin as she sees who emerged behind you, Abby. the blond girl wraps her arm around your waist.
"Abby!" Ellie puts her arms out smugly in a fake greeting "Good to see you, been a while"
Abby lets out a cocky scoff. The alcohol radiates off of her." I could say the same. You seem to be having a good time talking to my girlfriend" Her grip on your waist tightens.
you sigh, already knowing where this is going to go. Abby could be posesive at times. if you talked to someone a little too long, laughed at someone's joke too loud, or didn't tell her where you were going. you tried your best to not aggravate her because you knew it would end up as a fight later. it was usually worse when it was at a party or bar because when she was drunk her words would hurt ten times worse. though she would always decline the accusations of her being a mean drunk, it didn't change anything.
"Abby" you rub the small of her back "let's not do this tonight, okay?" You smile at her hoping she will catch on.
"No, hold on I wanna know her intentions. Do you think talking to my girlfriend is gunna make me jealous? some type of revenge on me? funny.." Abby's voice is loud. practically yelling at Ellie. shes caught the attention of the remaining few people at the party.
Ellie's stance completely shifts. Her eyebrows burrow. "What are you saying?" a smirk lays on her lips" Not everything I do is about you Abby, I'm sorry to break it to you but it's true." Abby rolls her eyes, huffing out of her nose. "Don't walk in her and act like you haven't been ignoring her all night. She's allowed to talk to people. She, not some kind of arm candy to sit next to you 24/7"
"Don't talk to me like you know my girlfriend better than I do." She now has her finger in the auburn hair's girl's face. " And don't act like you're talking to her to actually get to know her. like you actually have an interest in her and you're not just using her to get back at me for stealing your stupid high school girlfriend" Abby's words cut you deep. what if Ellie really was just talking to you to get back at Abby? what are the chances of you meeting your girlfriend's high school enemy at a party?
"Abby please let's just go home" She ignores you "Abby please you're drunk."
she snaps in your direction " Dont tell me what I am!" her finger now in your face." what is everyone's deal with telling me what I am, how I act, how- how the fuck I do things" the yelling became too much, the attention became too much. it all just became too much.
"Don't!-" Ellie places a rough shove on Abby's shoulder "Don't fucking talk to her like that" the ringing in your ears stops. a snap. like tightly pulled elastic. you reach over to Abby's back pocket. digging around, your finger linking to the ring of the car keys.
" Come out to the car when you're done with this shit" You leave a heavy pat on her back before turning on your heels and making your way out of the crowded circle of people that accumulated.
The air was crisp and cold, the breeze making your tear-coated cheeks feel frozen. you fumble with the keys, pushing them into the slot. You just sat there in the driver seat, windows down, and the slight static of talking from the radio. you rested your head on the side of the door. drifting off into a light, foggy unconsciousness
you were woken up by the close of the car door. you look over to see Abby, bloodied up. the sight of her made your heart drop. was it her blood? or..."Don't worry, it is not mine...or- or hers. Some guy stepped into what wasn't his business and got what he asked for." You didn't know what to say. were you to comfort her or to scold her for making such a huge scene in front of so many people over some stupid little drama? so you did what you knew best to do.
"'m'sorry Abby" Apologize. Your hand comes up to hold her forearm " I don't know what I was thinking. it's just all-" She never tears her eyes away from the dashboard. " Are you ok?"
She sighs" Im fucking fine can we just go home" She pinches the bridge of her nose with her pointer and her thumb. you don't say anything. Just start the car and go home. you don't need to start anything.
When you got home neither of you said anything. You unlocked the door and took off your shoes. Abby did the same. it wasn't till after 30 of avoiding conversation, that you said something.
"Abby," you said in the softest tone you could. she sat at the end of the bed scrolling on her phone. blood still dried on her knuckles. you rearrange the items on your side table. You waited for a response to continue but you only got a hum. "How are you feeling?" You look at the clock to see that it reads 1:34. "s'getting pretty late."
" God I don't think you are capable of shutting up for five fucking minutes" She stands up throwing her phone down on the bed then taking her shirt off to rummage through the dresser. flipping through the messy drawers.
" Abby. Come on, you know I'm just trying to smooth things over. I don't like going to bed angry at each other" You sit on your side of the bed.
"Oh really? Smooth things over? seems like you go out of your way to piss me off" Her voice is muffled by the shirt she's pulling over her face. an off white wifebeater. She walks to the bathroom connected to your bedroom, you follow.
" It's not just about you. I don't like being mad at you but you pushed it tonight" You lean on the counter of the sink she's washing her hands in. The water running off in a crimson red she huffs in response. "Abby? Are you even listening to anything I have to say"
"No! All you do is talk and talk, it goes in one ear and out the fucking other" she pushes past you. drying her hands on her pants and plopping on the bed with her phone.
"What the fuck Abby? You ignore me all night, then talk to me like this? l-like im fucking nothing? Are you serious" She's sat on the bed scrolling on her phone while you stood in the bathroom doorway.
"Is this what this is about?" she chuckles in disbelief " I don't talk to you enough one night so you start flirting with some other chick. god, how desperate are you" She rests her hand behind her head while typing in the code to her phone.
"Oh my god. I wasn't flirting with anyone. Am I not allowed to talk to other people at parties? Am I truly supposed to sit next to you all night and be quiet?" you cross your arms. walking closer to where she sat.
"Make a hell ton of a better night if you did" The room wen fell silent. your eyes start to swell with tears. she did think you were arm candy.
she looks at you with an annoyed look. a look she often gave you. " great now your crying. what else is new."
You walk to your side table. wiping warm tears that fell. You unplugged your charging phone."I'm going to shower" You waited for a response but after a few seconds, you gave up and made your way to the bathroom before closing it and locking it.
You turn the nob to the shower, letting the water warm up. you looked at yourself in the mirror. admiring your puffy eyes and red cheeks. your phone buzzes and you see a notification from Instagram. " Ellie_wills989 liked your photo" You picked up your phone in a panic. and not even two seconds later another notification " Ellie_wills989 started following you" You open the app to see the photo she liked. a photo of you and a few of your friends at a club. you hesitated before hitting the " follow back" but once you did you squirmed like a little girl who just kissed her crush at recess. the phone hit the counter with a thud before turning and getting in the shower. the whole shower you thought of what you'd say to Abby when you got out. what words you could use to avoid a fight but when you walked out of the bathroom she was dead asleep. snoring lightly.
The next morning you woke up with what you would describe as the worst headache of your life. you fully expected Abby to be up and at the gym already but when you swept your arm over you were met with a mound next to you and a groan. you roll over to place your head on her chest. feeling her heartbeat pitter and her deep breaths. you fidget with the hem of her shit before you met with the pressure of her hand on your waist and a sloppy tired kiss placed on your forehead. you shift your head so you can look at her. her hair all frizzy, falling out of its once neat braid.
her eyes met yours "mornin'." She rubs her eyes with her free hand, then pushes a stray strand of hair behind your ear. Abby was always sweet the morning after a fight. it was her way of "apologizing".
"morning. thought you'd be at the gym by now"
She sighs "Nah. one of my buddies flaked, I'll go later." she says closing her eyes, tightening the grip on your side.
"Oh okay." You sit up "Do you want me to make you breakfast" You rub circles into Abby's skin.
Abby reaches for her phone and wincs as the light shines on her not-so-light-adjusted eyes. "Um... No. Don't worry about it." She's now sitting and slipping off of the bed and heading into the bathroom. "Ima head out before it gets too late," she says before closing the bathroom door. you got yourself out of bed and slipped your feet into your fuzzy socks. walking into the living room from your bedroom. you turned on the TV to a random channel while you opened the fridge to browse the items. you hated to cook in silence. matter of fact you hatted to do anything in silence. you settled on the TV, thinking it was too early in the morning for music. which you would disagree with but Abby seemed to take quite a disliking to your music taste saying it was " basic" and "unoriginal".
you find yourself eating the same breakfast most days, eggs and toast. you grab two eggs out of the container. closing the fridge door with your hip and grabbing a pan, placing it on the stove. As the eggs cooked you sliced the bread, popping it into the toaster.
right as you placed your meal on a plate Abby was heading out the door with a rushed goodbye. hardly finishing your 'goodby' before she was closing the door. you step to look out the kitchen window to see Abby pulling out of the driveway and driving off. you stayed there until the black dot of her car disappeared. you sat yourself on the couch. pulling a fuzzing blanket over your bare legs. by now you realized what channel you had you had on. some random reality TV show, which you quickly changed. not daring to touch your food until you find a worthy show to binge while eating. something you loved to do. early in your and Abby's relationship, watching movies while you ate dinner after a long day was something you looked forward to most nights. but as Abby drug you to more parties your dinner dates started to decline.
By now you had searched many apps finally setting on a random movie on Netflix. you pulled your plate of food to your lap when a notification dinged on your phone. you assumed it was Abby. asking you to run out and hand her something she left behind, but when you pulled out your phone you saw a different notification." Ellie_wills989 Sent you a message" You felt your heart speed up and freckeled spikes pinded along the back of your neck. you set your plate to the side while you divided your full attention to the notification. you felt a wave of guilt flood your mind. the words Abby said last night beginning to pop back into your head. before you can even think your opening Instagram and clicking on your messages. you didn't care about what Abby said. you're allowed to have friends. even if she didn't approve of them.
Hey
I just wanted to apologize for last night and how things ended.
Before you could process anything else another message appeared
How are you?
Abby hadn't once ever asked if you were okay after a night of partying, despite the migraines that lingered in both of your heads.
Im doing ok
you type
despite the god awful headache I have going on. Wbu?
The temp in the room seemed to rise. you throw off the blanket on your lap. throwing it on the table next to your discarded breakfast.
why was talking to Ellie so much different than it was last night? Maybe it was the lack of alcohol in your body. you just felt so obligated to respond with the right words and not to make yourself out as such a fool as your drunken self had probably already done the night before.
Time had gone by without a response, not much but enough for the bubbling anxiety to turn into a boil. before you knew it the green circle indicating Ellie was active turned off. Did she really leave me on delivered? You scroll up to your previous messages, worrying you said something wrong, spelled something off, or made a complete idiot out of yourself. you couldn't find anything that you thought would've thrown Ellie off.
you throw your phone to the side. landing on the cushion. you make your way upstairs and to the bathroom. you look in the mirror wiping leftover mascara off your eye lid, letting out a sigh. you decided it was about time to start your day. Grabbing your toothbrush and putting a glob of toothpaste.
you liked doing your makeup. It was something that Abby nagged you about. saying you'd leave it all over the place and it was a waste of money. There was just something so comforting about applying the powder to your cheeks and a pink gloss to your lips. you were sat on the bathroom counter carefully applying eyeliner to your lids where you could hear a slight ring. you hadn't noticed when it started but you decided to go looking for it. it led you downstairs where your met with your phone and 9 missed calls from Abby. you slap your hand onto your mouth realizing that you'd spent your whole morning getting ready without checking your phone. As Abby's contact was plastered on your screen the only thing you could think about was whether Ellie had responded.
you pick up your phone hit the green answer button and before you can even get a word in Abby is saying something.
"Hello?? Where the fuck are you?" her tone is harsh, mean.
"I'm at home. why?" you ask. making your way back up to the bathroom.
"Well, obviously your not. who are you with?" She asks, clearing accusing you of something.
"Abby, I'm not with anyone-"
"what's distracting you from answering your damn phone then" she cuts you off.
"I was upstairs." you sigh"I left my phone
downstairs"
"bullshit! I'm coming home If I find anything that you haven't been home or someone has been there I swear to go You're done!"
"Abby my makeup isn't even done why would I go any-" You're met with a screen saying "Call ended". you chose to ignore Abby's hostility and finish your makeup.
Right as you finish you get a notification. you roll your eyes assuming it's Abby but you're met with another notification from Instagram.
Hey sorry for the late response, I was out making deliveries.
Delivery? What does that even mean?
Do you have any plans today? I was thinking about going out tonight.
Do you think you'd want to come? Just gunna be us and a few of my friends.
That sounds great. I'll have to see if I can go.
What do you mean you'll have to see if you can go? you don't have to ask Abby right?
Well not exactly.
You're an adult. you don't have to ask Abby if you can go places.
I know. it's not like that, I swear.
I mean like asking if she like to join. yk?
Seen. you sat on the screen, waiting for a response but it never came. weird. you just went back to finishing your nearly done makeup and resuming the playlist on your phone. brushing shades of purple on the lid of your eyes. smoothing out your base with your fingers.
the sound of a car door slamming was your cue to come out of your makeup trance and shut down the music. you sat patiently as you waited for Abby to unlock the door and make her way up to you. you swear you could hear her huffing and puffing before she even got inside. and when she did finally make it to you, you could feel the anger fuming off of her. you still did not understand why on earth she would get so angry over something so silly. She stood in the door frame with a look on her face saying 'Well?'. did she really want you to start this long and upcoming conversation? when you didn't say anything she took talking into her own hands.
" You have anything to say?" she says throwing her hands up like a defensive child.
" Say about what Abby? " you turn back to the mirror, continuing your makeup.
" Are you fucking serious? Did you not listen to anything I said to you on the phone" she's leaning against the frame of the door.
" Nobody was here Abby, And I haven't left." you turn to face her and the red shade her face once was seemed has doubled. and the look she had on her face, it gets stuck like that if she held it another second.
" mh well see about that." she turns back into the room and starts opening doors, looking under the bed. practically tearing the room apart. you couldn't do anything but stand there and watch. she stood up from where she was kneeling and looking around, obviously frustrated with the lack of finding. "you're hiding something, I know it" she said with a finger in your face. and before she could beat you with more words her phone rings. she pulls it out of her pocket and you catch a glimpse of the contact name before she very obviously leans the phone out of your view.
Mel
Mel was one of Abby's coworkers. you didn't know much about her, but you knew this was an odd time for her to be calling.
"I gotta go," Abby says practically running out of your shared room
"What? Is that all you're gunna stay after all of that?" you follow her.
she does respond and that goes till you both reach her car. "Abby?" you stop her from opening the car door. " what's going on baby?" you cup her face with your hands. a sentimental action but she didn't feel any of it. she wasn't even making eye contact. Your hand falls back down to your side and Abby takes that as an invitation to leave. she starts the car and pulls out of the driveway leaving you there. standing. you reach into your pocket pulling out your phone and open Instagram.
I think I'm gunna join you guys tonight.
when she ignores me all day and does not care if i live or die 😻😻😻😻😻

I love you and you’re an amazing writer!! 🖤🖤🖤

"That's it... look how good you take it."
Her hips continuously kissed your own as she rocked back and forth, breaking in the new bedframe she'd just spent over four-hundred dollars on. She remembered rolling her eyes at the price for something so simple, but you begged because,
'Abby it's perfect and it's pretty look..'
…then there she was, standing in line with the box, her card practically crawling out of her wallet. You were over the moon though, unable to stop rambling about how good it was gonna match the new paint coat that you'd chosen for her to decorate the bedroom with. How all of your wall decorations would look so good above it, and how you wanted her to hang each one.
The frame was nice, she gave it that, but it needed a personal touch.
I need her carnaly I'm not joking she's the definition of my type plzzzz I need her so bad
Y’all better be ready for a sad fucking fan fic. My girlfriend just broke up with me and I’m ready to write💪
I LOVE the new pride icons on overwatch. Yeah, I’ve already been called 100 different slurs and harassed by a hamster but it’s all great🤭
Soft Abby x Drunk clingy reader
An: i most likely will make a part two to this since it cuts off at kind of an awkward place, I didn’t want to make this too long for a short Drabble.
Wc:913
Cw:mention of alcohol// fem!reader bratty!reader(not proofread at all)
• you were at one of the many weekend parties your friends hosted
• you and Abby already had a few drinks and you can feel yourself getting tipsy
• Abby knew when you got drunk you tended to get quite clingy
Your sat on Abby’s lap with a drink in your pedicured hand, your arm wrapped around her neck and your legs swaying where they hung from the couch. You began to get bored of the conversation happening in your space and start to drift from it, replying and adding comments less and less frequently. You resort to playing with the collar off Abby’s shirt to cure your boredom. Pushing strands of hair away from your plush cheeks and picking at the seem of your skirt. The pink skirt Abby hated, not because you didn’t look good in it, Quite the opposite. it was short. Really short. You’d find Abby behind you all the time, pulling it down if it had ridden at all. It made her feral, the way it hugs your ass and hips. She wanted it all for herself, only for her to see and no one else.
When you find that you drank the rest of the liquor in your hand you pat Abby’s lap, scooting off of it, your skirt rolling up in the back just enough to see the lace panties you wore.
“I'm gonna go get another drink, you need a refill?” you turn to her giving a sweet smile. You see her tense before sitting up from her slouched position to grab the small of your back to pull you between her legs. You turn your upper body to look at Abby’s hands, her long finger rolling your skirt back down to a modest view. A smile fell on your face, blushing at how protective she was of you. You turn back to Abby “Refill or no?” You ask placing your hand on her bicep.
“What I’d say about wearing this skirt out” she eyes you, her eyes slowly making their way down to your thighs” S’way too short, especially for someone who has no awareness of themselves”
“Oh shut up. You love me in the skirt” you say in a cocky tone, turning around walking toward the kitchen. You bite your nail, scanning the many open bottles spread out on the island before settling on a white claw. You come back to the living room to see Abby laughing with her friends. Probably talking about sports or other stupid frat parties. You plop yourself back into her lap, opening the can and taking a sip, an ‘mmm’ escaping your lips. Abby turns her attention Towards you.
“ don’t you think you’ve had enough” Abby adds a smirk to her expression, grabbing at your hip.
“M’not drivin'” you add, taking another gulp. Abby tightens her grip on your hip, the strength adding a shiver to your body, the flush of your cheeks hiding the blush.
Some Time (and many drinks) had passed as you’d gotten yourself so drunk you could hardly say awake. Normally Abby would have cut your drinking off a long while ago, but she was too deep into the conversation around her and you were sneaky enough, saying you were ‘ just going to the bathroom’ and other drunken excuses. You were sprawled out on top of Abby, your hands under her t-shirt, rubbing your hand on her abs. The contact of your hand to her made her flinch.
“Your hands are cold.” She looks down at you with a chuckle, now realizing the state you are in. She sits up, maneuvering you as well “You ready to go home?” she runs her hand through your hand, ending her action with a rub on your cheek with her thumb. You didn’t say anything much besides a tired groan of agreement.
It wasn’t long before she was halting you up to your feet and saying her goodbyes. It wasn’t long either till she was buckling the seatbelt of the seat you sat in. You reach your hand over to where she sat, rubbing her arm, reaching for her, wanting something.
“ you hungry? You wanna stop to get something to eat” She places her hand on your thigh while her other hand rests on the steering wheel
“ I want you,” you mumble into your arm
“ what’d you say , baby?” She rubs circles into your thigh You whine, too tired to repeat yourself.
“Gotta use your words. Don’t know what you're saying“
“I want you.” You blurt out, your eyes still closed.
“you have me”
“Need, I need you. I need to be close to you”
“ I think, I think you need to get some food in you and go to bed”
“ don’t talk to be like that” You open your eyes, glaring at her
“Like what, baby? What are you talking about”
“Like I don’t know what I’m talking about” Your eyes are now glossy, a warm tear rolling down your cheek.
Abby sighs, knowing that the alcohol is making her emotional. She pulls into the driveway of your house. She grabs your face with her hands, cupping your cheeks gently. “ look, babe. You know I didn’t mean it like that. You are so smart and not once have I ever doubted on know what you're talking about, ok?” You nod, sniffing, rubbing your eyes. She pecks a kiss on your forehead” Let’s get inside, Yeah?”
I need her omfg. On my knees for junker queen

Tired Ellie X Reader
Wc:292 (sorry it’s so short, just wanted to get sm out)
You shifted in the sheets as you heard the door downstairs open, a smile tugging at your mouth. The sound of shoes getting kicked off and a backpack hitting the floor sent heat through you body. Your girl made her way up the stairs, opening the door to your bedroom. Her brows furrowed, her shirt covered in blood and dirt.
“ hey hon” you smile, Rolling out of the sheets, and sitting on your feet at the end of the bed “How was your day”
“Shit” Ellie blurts, pulling her shirt over her head before turning towards you “ fucking Jessie and Dina wouldn't stop flirting the whole patrol!” she plops down onto the bed, laying on her stomach, resting her head on her arms. “ I don't know why they still assign them together, we don't get anything done”
“ Why don't you talk to Maria about it then.” you rub her shoulders, following every scar on her back with your pointer. She lifts her head from her arms.
“You think I didn't try that,” she says in a frustrated tone. You roll over to lay on your stomach, laying next to her.
“hey, be nice to me” You brush one of her loose strands of hair behind her ear.
“ I’m always nice to you” She grabs the back of your head, pushing your foreheads together. You giggle at her actions, sitting up you're tapping her back.
“Cmon, let’s go get you cleaned up”
when it’s an Ellie fic about Ellie being jealous over readers ex and the ex in question is always a boyfriend…. Idk the assumption that reader is attracted to men sends me considering how half this fandom is of the lesbian community. There’s a convo that needs to be had abt inclusivity here idk….
