These Strawberry Heart Cookies are perfect for spreading love on Valentine's Day. The delightful strawberry flavor and cute heart shape make them a festive and tasty treat that's sure to be a hit!
Ingredients: 1 cup butter, softened. 1 cup granulated sugar. 1 3 oz package strawberry Jello. 2 large eggs. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour. 1 teaspoon baking powder. 1/2 teaspoon salt. Red food coloring optional. Powdered sugar, for dusting.
Instructions: Start by heating the oven to 400F 200C. Put the softened butter and granulated sugar in a large bowl and mix them together until they are light and fluffy. Mix the strawberry Jello powder into the butter mixture until it is well mixed in. Add the eggs one at a time, making sure that each one is fully mixed in. Add the vanilla extract and, if you want, a few drops of red food coloring. Mix the flour, baking powder, and salt together in a different bowl. Mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients one at a time until a soft dough forms. If the dough is too sticky, put it in the fridge for 30 minutes. This will make it easier to work with. Spread the dough out on a floured surface until it's about 1/4 inch thick. Cut cookies into heart shapes with cookie cutters and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. After the oven is hot, bake for 6 to 8 minutes, or until the edges are just beginning to turn golden. For a few minutes, let the cookies cool on the baking sheet. Then, move them to a wire rack to cool completely. Add powdered sugar to the cookies after they have cooled all the way down. For Valentine's Day, treat yourself to these cute and tasty strawberry heart cookies!
