No offense to M. Kishimoto or to fans of the canon story and canon couple, but I’ve always loved this ship.
Not because one person could save the other but because each of them represents something the other lacks.
Hinata reminds Sasuke that the world is still worth giving one last chance. Sasuke reminds Hinata that some things don’t change on their own, and that real change requires the courage to question even the things we’ve been taught to accept.
Maybe that’s what I’ve always found so fascinating about their dynamic. Because the deepest change doesn’t happen when someone saves us, it happens when someone confronts us with truths that, on our own, we might never have had the courage to face.
