Drawing mood didn't dissapear as quickly this time. With the Astracorus i very much needed to add more aquatic life into their designs than just shark. And octopus just gives me the excuse to add tentacles.

Skaven mood today. Carying some miniature drill to breach through walls and doors, inspiration from the ratling and warpfire throwers from vermintide. The white fur is from chemicals bleaching it.

needed to make something slightly less humanoid so have a dragon like creature.

If i give the astracorum some extremely large tank, then it's only fair i start giving the other equally large creations.

Having just finished painting my skyfires and enlightened i very much have them on mind. And playing both AoS and 40k i had quite the good look at both their rules. This isn't very serious but the difference is so funny.

Decided to update the old big tank i had made a whole while ago. I was not satisfied with it (especially stuff like the tiny guns poking out of the sides).

Now it looks much better as it just looks bigger (and so do many of the side bits and other side turrets) has better looking guns and everything looks like it fits in better.

the inspiration should be quite obvious still.

though every rat is special, it's a wonderful and unusual thing for their accomplishments to be remembered and cherished by so many people so many years later. we're all so fortunate to know about the rat who banged out the tunes!

A small fragment of a sentient white dwarf contained in an armoured shell. The heat contained only because she wills it.

Stands out much brighter compared to the rest of the astracorum.

Someone reading over your shoulder is annoying even if they have the ability to float.

They might not hesitate at cannibalism but fruit, especially when sweet and juicy, is where it's at.

The cannibalism that is present throughout the species it both casual and opportunistic. With some thought for long term.

To finally properly put this out i'm calling them astracorus (astracorum) which is the blend of two words i find fitting for these designs.

whole species idea is that there are many subspecies in it with different features, sizes and body types (and horns), with these here being the most common ones.

"Did you find it?" "No." "Its shou" "It's not."

"Do NOT interrupt me again." "I will as long as you have nothing of importance to say." "You do know if we don't find it you're in as much trouble as me."

Facial tattoos and piercings to add details into what are supposed to be fairly featureless faces is a good idea, even if i do say so myself.
