so, @iselenepani and i were talking about the layout of Monmouth Manufacturing, and quickly came to three conclusions
Gansey should never pursue a career in interior design
The first floor of Monmouth is essentially untouched factory debris
The exterior probably almost definitely still looks like an abandoned building, not helped by the half-built ramp Ronan made that was probably never cleared away
which spiraled into a soft ghost hunting au (set partially pre-Noah reveal, partially after)
Monmouth is easily the most haunted looking building in Henrietta
No one visiting believes the locals when they say its inhabited
while Gansey is at school one day, someone films a buzzfeed-unsolved-esque ghost hunting show on the first floor (they get too freaked out to explore the second floor, narrowly missing the true horror of kitchenbathroom)
this becomes a recurring thing, where Gansey lets curious ghost-hunters explore the first floor, making sure to let them know that he does, in fact, live there
they offer to pay to film there, but Gansey lets them do it free, yknow, his whole, you owe the world to look thing
asks if they know anything about the ghost of Glendower
The ghost hunters are going insane, cause their equipment keeps detecting the presence of ghosts, but Gansey keeps introducing Noah like a normal person
Noah finds this hysterical and becomes an active nuisance to them, “you know, i felt a cold spot in that one corner” “i hear noises at night sometimes, kind of like bad edm”
Ronan was present a single time, but ended up breaking their equipment and stormed off without apologizing
they compared goat-like features to demons, which made Opal upset
Gansey ended up paying them back for that, but doesnt say anything about it to Ronan later that day, so its fine
Adam is entirely too focused on getting through school to be that involved, but does indulge Noah and Gansey by doing some research on ghosthunting and paranormal stuff when he has time
he fully is ready to fight the guys who upset Opal though
When Henry stops by, he is so charming that none of the ghost hunters ever suspect that he would tamper with their research
Robobee activates all their motion sensors
Blue’s family gets hired to perform a seance there, and she nearly cry-laughs
She convinces investigators that one of the three boys who lives there is a ghost, but everyone thinks its Gansey cause he talks like he was born 8 decades ago
When they eventually move out, rumours start flying that it was actually haunted
Monmouth manufacturing is voted the most, and also the least, haunted place in Virginina
Henrietta continues to live alongside the mess caused by its raven boys
