From there I got her to watch Batman and all the Marvel movies and all of the movies that came before Green Lantern. So I do owe it that much.”

“All of the movies? Legit all of them?” He asked with a raised brow and shook his head. “So you made your friend suffer through all of the Fantastic Four movies? That seems more like an act of cruelty than anything else.” He teased her.

“Well, it’s not very considerate,” John says, clearing his throat and nodding at the other, “It’s fine, though, I guess that’s probably just what it’s like. Love, or infatuation, or whatever.”

“Having that much chemistry between two people to do it whenever wherever and just not give a fuck is beautiful in a disturbing kinda of way, I guess.” Elijah couldn't help but pass along the sentiment as he leaned back in his chair the front legs of it rising from the ground a bit.

“No,” Luca didn’t even hesitate to blurt out as the other approached him, barely looking up from his phone to catch a glimpse of who it was, “I don’t care what it is but i know that look of yours so no. nope. not today, I’m still recovering from the last time you had a brilliant idea”

“I am insulted.” Elijah started out putting on an act of complete offense. “Can’t a guy just approach his friend with no ulterior motive what so ever. Just to ask how his day is going? Just for a little check in? Maybe I don’t want anything from you. Maybe this is just how my face is.”

“See, this is what bothers me.” Abby gestured aggressively to the television. “That, right there. Ryan Reynolds in the Wolverine movie. I’m definitely not complaining that Ryan Reynolds is in movies it’s just—okay I know that they didn’t have the rights to Deadpool at the time and they couldn’t use entire backstory, but it’s bad when the guy sitting next to you in the theatres to see Deadpool asks why he wasn’t shooting lasers out of his eyes because he thought that that’s what he does.” She sighed deeply and stretched out her hand, trying to reach for the remote to change the channel but falling just short. “Remind me why I put this on again?”

If he was being honest, Elijah was only half listening to the words that were coming from her lips. About halfway through the movie he’d turned his hearing aid down and tuned out, completely uninterested in it. It was only when she started gesturing wildly that he even looked over at her and chuckled a bit. “It is times like this where I’ve gotta rely on the constant mantra; No matter how bad this is, just remember it’s not Green Lantern.” The boy pointed out as he sat up and leaned forward.

John sits down at the table with a frown, opening up a book he’d just retrieved from a shelf, “Why would you make out in a library?” he asks, furrowing his brows, “It’s hardly private, and it seems just…a strange place to participate in intimacy.”

For a moment he frowns in confusion as he looks up from his laptop Elijah’s mind not fully catching up with the words just yet only to have it register a second later. “Some people like making out in random places. It’s the thrill of sneaking around or some shit.” He shrugs not knowing how else to respond to that.

The more he spoke, the more harder it was for the brunette not to feel amused, her lips puckering up to hide a small smile that was threatening to expose it. “- and why would I want to be your friend?” she asked, raising an eyebrow in a rather taunting way before her gaze fell down to his extended hand. She paused for a moment before shaking it. “Lena,” she added along, flashing him a small smile in the end. Her attention flew over to his ear and the device he mentioned, tilting her head to a side in thought. “That must suck,” she commented as she moved her hand back in her lap. “- on a plus note, you don’t have to hear all the bullshit people around here have the tendency to say.”

Elijah didn’t even have to ponder that question for a second he simply smirked and let out a chuckle. “Cause I;m awesome, clearly.” He answered significantly joking before shaking his head. “Uh.. no, I mean I can’t answer that, the fun is in the journey. Ya gotta ride the ride to figure it out for yourself.” He could have chosen to really sell himself with high energy nonsense, but he wasn’t desperate for attention today, and from what he gathered about the girl, she didn’t seem like the type to be so easily amused and more the type to get bored quickly so he figured it a more philosophical route would be nice. As She shook his hand Eli gave her a small smile in return before releasing it and sitting back in his seat. “Not gonna lie that is a perk and I do it often, but it’s not that bad like everything good days, bad days. We all got our shit to deal with so...” Once again his words were coated in apathy despite the smile on his lips. It wasn’t that he didn’t care about eventually losing his hearing he just didn’t like to bore people or say too much and get sympathy. Nothing worse than the pity of another human being it wasn’t like he was dying.
