22-06-16 Brunch: Wide Open Road Gelato: Messina Afternoon coffee: Tomboy forth stop was wide open road. we went there for an excellent single origin espresso from Panama [baru black mountain] a delicious V60 of Kenya kagumoini. went there for brunch the next day and the ocean trout kicks salmon out of the picture. wow what a gorgeous creature. and on a different note, chocolate sorbet is a thing. (and apparently gelato and sorbet is the same thing "water based ice cream") CHOCOLATE SORBET. absolutely mind blowing. best thing ever. (since I can't have dairy)

21-06-16 code black coffee was our third stop and after 2 single origin espresso, one el salvadorian & one brazilian, we had the best avocado on toast I've ever had. the spices that came with it was absolutely mind blowing. therefore I rank it no. 1 of our brunches over the past two weeks. because something so simple, was taken to the next step.

Birthday celebrations for Cam's mum; the main reason why we came in the first place. Went for Chinese food with the whole family, and then picked up a vegan chocolate cake - vegan because I can't have dairy. (So thoughtful! Not even my own family would do that for me!?) Tomorrow we're going for our first proper Melbourne brunch and I'm so excited. Expect more than a few pictures.

Finally arrived at our final destination. The second flight was 12h30 and we're now in bed, and have just had a really refreshing shower. A little nap and then we're good to go!

From London to Melbourne

My love and I have taken 2 weeks off work and are going to Australia to visit his family. I've never been on that side of the world before so I couldn't be more excited. Will post pictures daily.

Boyfriend has been drinking in a hotel bar Me: I've always wanted to drink in a hotel bar, like in the movies, preferable depressed.. Him: Would you like to me to be the bartender who's wearing a suit and polishing a glass saying "what's troubling you kiddo?" How perfect are we?

28-11-15 So, Saturday morning. Was meant to take birthday girl Leanne for breakfast, but she was too hungover to eat. Was meant to go to Embassy East, but if I'm on my own I prefer The Hoxton. I could sit here all day, I might actually do so. I've got some writing to do, prior to Christmas and the new year. Also just realised I value my iPad case more than my actual iPad. Alexander McQueen, what you do to me.. Got the case and an absolutely beautiful blouse at the McQ sample sale the other day. I can't believe what a sucker I am for sample sales..... SO much money saved & bargains bought!!! Money CAN buy happiness - at least for a little while. True fact.

As you may have understood - I work with coffee. I'm a barista at Nude Coffee Roasters in London, and we're dealing with speciality coffee. We visit the countries and the farms where the coffee fruits grow and make a relationship with the owners of the farm before we buy the beans. We care about the taste, the farm, and most of all - the quality. We serve quality speciality coffee, medium roasted and that makes us proud of every cup we serve, because we know it tastes great. This is what coffee beans look like before they get roasted - the green bean. Non-speciality coffee to the left and speciality coffee to the right. Coffee chains such as Starbucks use non-speciality coffee. No is not good coffee, at all. Let's just take a moment. Thanks.

Alexander McQueen, you brilliant genius. I don't understand what you're doing to my brain. You make me so inspired and so interested of knowing more. My friends are already tired of hearing about the exhibition - Savage Beauty. I can go on for days. You're nothing but a genius.
